Even though we don’t want to, sometimes it’s hard not to compare ourselves to other girls. Yes, we may be able to look smoking hot when we try, but then we go out and see someone skinnier than us, or prettier than us, or with a better ass. And, without trying, we immediately give up on nabbing a man because he isn’t going to want us anyway. Not with those girls around.
And that is not OK (and neither are the self-loathing results of today’s daily poll!), especially when you realize what guys really want. Newsflash: it’s not what we have always thought. Ok, so yes, guys do dream about hot girls with big boobs, but that is not what they go for in the real world. According to one guy, what they do want is you. Who knew?

Well that guys saying that. So he's not bad. But I want to imagine how a guy would pick with other factors. Perhaps among two women, one typical girl kinda like Kath from Kath and Kim and then another very pretty, nice, and confident but let's say 180lbs?
No one ever talks about weight and I mean real weight. Not like that size 4 is better looking than a size 8 me, kinda weight. Like you're a size 14 or 16 and you're somehow repulsive.

I mean a thinner girl has more confidence than the bigger girl.
The bigger girl doesn't have much or any because society, guys and girls, put her appearance down.

Really late, but Brit: that is exactly why guys don't go after you. I know plenty of big girls who have boyfriends and even who get hit on fairly often. It's because they are putting themselves out there, instead of sitting at home blaming everyone else for the flaws that they CHOOSE to have. You CHOOSE not to have confidence, that reflects when you go out, and then guys think 'ew, a big chick who is probably going to talk down all the thinner girls around, put down every guy who talks to a thin girl, then later cry because the world is just SO CRUEL to her. I will go talk to the skinny girl who looks happy with her life and doesn't care what anyone thinks of her or blame her own problems on people who don't know her.' Big chicks who don't sit around whining about it, who make themselves look pretty and confident, get PLANTY of guys. Big chicks who sit around being hateful and stupid get no guys.
