I am so SICK of people saying Obama is our first BLACK president!

HE IS NOT BLACK!

According to some sources he is less than 12% black (however, I have yet to find a reliable source stating his race percentages so that may or may not be true) which is the required percentage to make any claims to a race in this country. He was also raised by white people, his MOTHER and grandparents!

By saying "our first black president" you make it a race issue and we should not see people by the color of their skin, which, sadly, is how Obama won the presidency in the first place. If all any white candidate did was make speeches about "Change" without even a hint as to what that/ those changes might be, trust me, they would not have made it very far. I'm tired of hearing about Obama being black, he's more than just black and I for one would like to start hearing what all of these "changes" he's going to make are going to be. It's not who you are, it's what you do. Can we stop focusing on him being black and start focusing on how good of a job he is going to do?
