So if you went into a hypnotherapist's office with this attitude, then it would be a complete failure. Haven't you ever been to a comedy hypo-show? Some people on stage won't be hypnotized because they refuse to allow themselves to let go, and other people will get really, really into it.

My brother used to suffer from PTSD because when he was 8, he and my cousins were tied and held ad gunpoint in a robbery in my cousin’s house. After that, he used to have panic attacks all the time and couldn’t sleep, up until he was 13. Then my mom took him to a psychologist who hypnotized him and it all stopped after a few sessions. Crazy, I know!
