So, you know, there's a saying amongst military wives: "Gone is gone."

Essentially, that means it ain't a pissing contest, ladies. As anyone who's ever been in a long-distance relationship can tell you, sometimes the one-week absences can be worse than the two-month ones.

Heck, in a couple of hours my husband will come home from work, and after two weeks of always-together vacation time… well, ten hours has somehow stretched into infinity. Or at least close enough to give it just a little of that welcome-back flavor.

Yeah 2 weeks is nothing! My boyfriend have been going 2 weeks without seeing each other for most of our relationship. We go to separate schools, 2 hours away and right now I'm in Calfornia while he's in Wisconsin. So we'll be going minimum 2 Months without so much as a peck on the cheek! I can only imagine how great the welcome back sex will be after this long…
