Mr. Matthews, no it wouldnt be odd, quite honostly the dudes that come to the parties we do actually seriously look at for bid potential the following semester if rush week has passed. When I was a Freshman I didnt know wth Greek houses were all about so I started goin to all the parties, talking to the brothers and actually got a good feel for the houses and which ones I liked best. Then the following semester when it was rush time again, I talked with the guys from the house I liked best and I felt was best for me and where I felt most at home. Soon as I walked thru the door the Chapter Advisor, President, Rush Chair met me at the door with bid in hand and instantly extended it to me because they liked how I took my time, and looked at each house closesly before just jumping in with both feet. So I encourage every one to do the same as I did because I dont regret for 1 second accepting that bid and becoming a PiKe

In all fairness girls, there are greek groupies at every campus and while some of you may come close to falling into one or both those catagories the CC Staff posted you all that come to our parties, drink our beer and JJ, and make your rounds amongst the brothers in the hay but wont join a greek house yourself. That does make you a greek groupie and frankly its kinda sad. There are better ways to get into our circle. Thats by actually becoming an Alpha Xi, Alpha Chi, D-Z, Tri Sig, or K-D. Thats how you get the respect you want from the brothers not the way you're goin about it. I can honostly say from a Pikes point of view, we listen to and give more respect to genuine bonafied Female Greeks more closely then we do the wanna bes or aka "Greek Groupies"

this made me laugh so hard. my boyfriends frat has the big parties on campus and there are these girls that follow the boys around and dress all slutty at all the parties and act like the frat house is theirs..and as soon as those girls walk away all the frat brothers make fun of them and talk about how they are all stars or wanna be all stars, girls who've had sex with more than 5 brothers.

I have a question. Would it be odd if guys (in or beyond college; of course) not from the Frat, were at some of their parties? Or do they have to be invited or something?

Also, I don't think the author was only talking about the girls that actually, entirely act out the part. So, if it doesn't include you, then you shouldn't be offended by it. In contrast, I think the author just wanted to advise & warn those to whom do not apply to the profile.

Now that I think about it, if you were offended, then maybe, deep inside you sub-conscious, she WAS actually talking about you.

I kinda agree with Molly and Emily. I'm not a tomboy (anymore, not since I was 11) and I don't think I'm better then the other girls my friends hang out with, but all my guy friends from home joined one frat together and we've all been best friends for forever so I was always at their place, cause yeah, they are my best friends, and I hate girl drama!

I laughed when I saw this article. It reminded me of this group of girls in my class. I go to a really small pharmacy college, so we have about 6 frats/sororities. The group of girls I'm referring to go to EVERY SINGLE Phi Dex event, no matter what it could be. They always travel in a group. They're slutty, dumb, and bitchy. They spend so much time with Phi Dex guys so that they can be "Phi Dex Little Sisters." So annoying. The worst part about that is since Phi Dex is associated with the sorority I want to pledge next fall, this means the girls will also be pledging with me. Shoot me, please?

haha I tottally agree with this article. I hatee visiting my guy friends frat and running into "one of the boys"…who thinks she's better than me..because she's "really friends" with them cause she watches the game and looks like a dude. Love it!

i agree with molly. Just because i hang out with mostly guys doesn't mean i'm a frat slut. I lived with 3 guys four a year and we hung out ALL the time. I didn't want to sleep with them, they did not want to sleep with me, and we really were just friends.

And i could drink one of them under the table. Not all, but one

I want to disagree a bit if I may:

I consider myself to be "anti-greek", if you will. I also can't STAND most girls, so I am always hanging out with guys. This led me to one specific frat of down-to-earth dudes.

I guess at one point I was the epitome of what you call the "guys girl", however, not only did I really NOT want to date any of the guys, this was not a "front" as you call it.

Some girls are just tomboys, sorry, and I personally cannot STAND all the drama and stupidity that seems to go hand-in-hand with being a girl.

I love and agree with most of the articles on CC, but really! Just because I genuinely like football and don't show up at parties with a stupid hair pouf, heels, and some skanky forever21 dress on, this does not make ME fake or annoying. It makes you a judgmental person who is sexist towards your own gender.
