What Does Your Major Say About Your Sex Life?

A Wesleyan student recently put this handy chart together showing the percentage of students in each major who are virgins. Looks like those artists find their inspiration in the bedroom (or maybe they sold it for art supplies?), while the nerdier of students can’t catch a break.

    Comp. Sci. majors get more than the international business? I would have thought the computer kids would be worse than the Math majors!

    My poor fellow Psychology majors.. I thought we'd be a group less full of virgins. I guess it makes sense though.. I've seen the people in some of my Psych. classes.

    that's a lot of virgins. i hope this is at least measuring from the beginning of freshman year. no way that many major can get through all 4 years and still be virgins

    Funny, but totally made up. The vast majority of teenagers have already lost their virginity by the time they graduate high school.

    I'm in studio art, I'm out spoken about sex and sex education, it's my hobby. I didn't lose my virginity till I was in my second year though but thats okay at least I'm not some slutty stuck up art student.

    Amy – where on earth did you hear that?

    There was a study done in like, 2003 by Yale that concluded that something like 57% of students lose their virginity by the end of high school. That might be a majority, but it's definitely not a vast majority.

    Maybe that's just where you're from where a "vast majority" lose their virginity before the end of high school.

    woooo 83%! haha.. I can see it at my school. The science/math major guys are all either very quiet and shy or obnoxious and smelly, no joke. I got it on lock tho.

    I find computer science majors a bit hard to believe. The ones I know fall into the obnoxious category.

    I'm with Helen, Amy is totally off base. Out of the people I met my freshman year of college, I'd say almost half were virgins. Sure, most have lost it since then, but your statement is way off base.

    This is hilarious though, I wish communication majors were on here!

    Ha, I'm an art major- and apparently a big fat whore! hahaha

    I did lose mine very young… but my boyfriend also used to get around a LOT and he's a chemical engineer… lol

    This isn't quite so accurate in his case. :)

    I'm a music major – where are we? We're a little bit less "slutty" than the art majors, but not by much. haha.

    Also the statistic I heard is that slightly less than half of kids graduate from high school having done it, but slightly more then half enter college as non-virgins. (Guess quite a few are making up for lost time over the summer? :) )

    i'm a bio major and most of my friends are as well, and i have to say this this is complete bull haha everyone i know is definitely not a virgin, including myself. or i guess i just hang around with the cool ones…

    For one thing, this doesn't say what year it's talking about. Every English major I know starts out young and innocent and then gets absolutely corrupted by the Damned Dirty English Profs, as they're called at my uni.

    Personally, I have to believe that successful English majors have the BEST sex lives.

    This chart isn't right. Me and my sistas aren't even represented. How is that even possible. Me, Sharnique, Shenaenae, and Keisha aren't any of these majors ya digg? When will a sista acutally get some represenation in this? Oh no you didn't!
