I didn't realize until recently how popular green fashion has become. These days everybody seems to be trying to do something good for the environment and my family is no exception. So I shouldn’t have been surprised when my wife started talking about green fashion. While I care about the environment as much as the next guy, that seemed a bit extreme. In my mind, words green fashion conjured up images of potato sack like clothes made of hemp or some such material. But my wife found a site that totally changed my mind, www.luxgreenliving.com, which sells really beautiful, fashionable, modern looking clothing made from organic cotton at very reasonable prices. At this point the site only has clothes for women, so guys will have to look somewhere else. But if you are looking for that last minute, special gift for your wife or girlfriend I highly recommend it.

Green fashion is huge right now. My brother's favorite line is a new and upcoming clothing company called INDIE PEACE. Go to www.indiepeace.myshopify.com to learn more about the products. They make all their clothing out of 100% organic cotton and it's all U.S.A made! Celebs are catching on too, like Woody Harrelson and Owen Wilson. Check it out all

Lauren is totally right - organic farming is much riskier without the safety net of chemical pesticides, etc. In addition, high-impact chemicals are so common in mass production specifically because they are a very cheap way for a huge quantity of materials and products to be made at once. More eco-friendly versions are more expensive, and the cost gets passed on to the consumer.

There are some great designers weighing in on this issue here: http://www.ecosalon.com/is-eco-fashion-too-expens...

Because they use less chemicals, a lot of their crop gets ruined so they have to plant more. Eventually, if everyone buys organic stuff, the price will begin to come down.

I would love to wear eco-friendly stuff but its mostly quite expensive.I dont get why though.I mean if they use less chemicals and stuff, doesn't that mean they have less costs, and can therefore charge their customers less?
