I love your mom!!! Can we share? lol,jk. I grew up hating my body, and my mother and all my sisters always and always have complained about how fat they are. Then they would point out how bony I am and my chicken legs. It has always been like that. When I 14-16 I was really depressed about how tall and awkward I was.

Nobody else, like at school, when you were growing up ever talked about your body?

I never noticed this until now.
You're so blessed to have grown up this way.
Great article, I really never noticed this.

This was really sweet and I appreciate that you love your mom for instilling those awesome characteristics in you. However, I must say, and I do not mean this to be offensive so I am sorry if it is (and no i'm not Carrie Prejean in disguise) But parents are supposed to teach their children how to eat healthy. I understand that she didn't want you to feel like you were different, or not ok the way you were, that is wonderful, but it also is a major contributor to the obesity in this country. As long as you and her are both happy with your weight, and health, that is fine no one else should be able to, or feel they have the right to make you feel bad.

but besides that, excellent article! It was really sweet.
