The Budget Stylista: Summer Skirts

If it’s one thing there’s no shortage of this season, it’s cute skirts. Really cute skirts. And sister, you’ve worked hard all season to get those legs in tip-top shape. Giving up that late night pizza for extra lunges and calf strengtheners (or maybe doing extra lunges and calf strengtheners to make up for that late night pizza…).

With so many options available there is really no need to spend at Barney’s what could be spent on booze when you can just hit up a cheaper store and still look effortlessly chic. So here are a few of my favorite affordable skirts for your summer wardrobe:

The white piping on this yellow skirt makes it look far more expensive than the $15.90 price tag. It’s so cute with white flip flops for day, or equally as cute with a white tank and white or neutral pumps for night. Accessorize with a bright colored bangle and a sun-kissed glow for pure summer fashion perfection.

This skirt from Delia’s is a wardrobe essential! You can tuck in a cute top and wear it as a high waisted skirt, or fold it over and – presto-chango – it becomes a mini! It’s like two skirts in one. For $24.50. I don’t know who Delia is, but I think I’m in love.

A white denim skirt is the new denim skirt. Everyone must have one for summer, either to throw on over a bathing suit, or paired with wedges and a tank for a night out. But, speaking from experience, pair with a bright top and NOT with a bright drink.

This skirt from Express is like a piece of artwork. It’s fun, funky, and a total show stopper. Not to mention, perfect for going out without looking like a total hoodrat hoodrat hoochie mama.

The perfect day skirt. Grab some white flats and a white tank  and you’ll look instantly put together even though you and I both know better. Shh. I won’t tell.
