I've only been on a plane once and let me tell you it was the worst fucking experience of my life. The girl sitting next to me, a classmate (we were on a school trip), had to – repeatedly – let me know that my iPod was keeping her from sleeping. Somehow it didn't distract the other person next to me. Then they run out pillows/blankets after I ask for one thousands of times. It was cold. Michigan in April. Oh yeah and before getting on the plane, I had my hair mayonnaise taken because apparently terrorists use hair mayonnaise.

I don't like when people use their cell phones when they are allowed to. I don't need to hear you lady in a hideous football sweatshirt talking about someones annoying brat you will be seeing when you get off the plane, I'm trying to fucking relax. It really pissed me off, it was early in the morning and after fighting to get onto the plane, my nerves calming down, ending the ongoing nagging session with my boyfriend at my side I wanted to relax and watch the history channel and find out about Jesus and Mary Magdeline getting it on. But that lady infront of me just wouldn't get off the phone or pipe down.

Every time I get on a plane I cross my fingers and hope that I end up sitting next to a cute and single guy. Yeah, it usually turns out to be a fat old man. Either way, I always try to be friendly.

Good advice! And it's also a good idea to not spray perfume or put on really smelly lotion… that can sometimes irritate people in such a confined atmosphere
