I agree with Laura above. I too was surprised that Perez chose to call Will a "faggot" – I thought that was considered offensive to people who are gay. Isn't Perez putting himself down as a gay man by using that word as an insult?

As for the entire situation, I've seen both videos and am not sure what really happened. Neither verbal or physical violence solves anything.

Violence is never an answer as retaliation in a verbal altercation. It was wrong for whoever to attack no matter how ugly the names were.

I, however, think it's quite ironic that Perez Hilton — who, mind you, has identified himself as an openly gay advocate and most recently took such a public crusade against Miss California in the favor of gay marriage — is going around throwing the term "gay" and "faggot" around as insults to people. Though name calling is less atrocious than punching someone, I personally think calling someone those names is NEVER ok, regardless of your sexual orientation.
