I wish there was a line in the lease saying you can break yours if your boyfriends(literally)psycho mother moves in next door. She would seriously follow him to the end of the world and if I didn't love the boy so much I would break free from her right now. I just keep the doors locked now.

OK, personally, I hated dorms. I had a crappy roommate which didn't help but so far I have loved living off campus. Given, I got my first apartment at 18 and did a semester of dorms after living on my own for 6 months and with a roommate in our apartment for a year but still. Yeh, cleaning sucks, but hey, you're in your 20's now, are you really not going to learn how to clean up after yourself? Yes, walls are thin and people will keep you awake, you won't always like your roommates or their friends but this is living with people and it's one of those things you have to learn how to do. Yes, it is expensive and if you can't handle your finances I really don't recommend getting an apartment. All that said though, it can be a really valuable experience. I have met some of my closest friends through college town craigslist apartments. I even met my boyfriend when he was one of my roommates. Life is, as always, what you make it.

Moving off campus can be a huge debacle. Sure, that overly happy, muffin topped Rachel Ray can make 30 minute meals supposedly easy, but it isn't that simple. What a crock of donkey shit!!!! I wouldn't reccomend living off campus unless you hire a maid. Everything is just too much damn work, on top of actually classwork and having a part time job. Now, you have 10x more work with an apartment. Don't do it unless you have a death wish.

Im moving out of my sublet soon that I moved in in May. I loved it. I lived with my boyfriend, and we made it work out fine.

Cleaning is tough. There were so many days where I would stress because all of our dishes were dirty, and I just did not want to clean them.

Kroger, here in Michigan is a great place for a college student to shop. Just this summer I saved over $100 using their Kroger plus card for shopping. Looved it.

This is me right now, I just got my first apartment a few months ago. This morning I woke up to a cockroach in my bathroom… Ew. I'm a clean freak so I lost it.

It is so much more expensive than I thought it would be too, but in the end, it's all worth it to not have to live in the dorms.
