What Are You Gonna Be For Halloween This Year?

I’m in a great mood this morning. It could be the giant bag of candy corn I housed upon waking up at 6am, or it could be the fact that tonight kicks off HALLOWEEN WEEKEND, 2009!!

I’ve been preparing for this day for months now. I found a group to costume-it-up with, set a very strict partying schedule (chock full of awesome drinking games!), and even made my own candy corn infused vodka (twice…I drank the test batch back in August…). And now the time is here! There are only a few short hours (and another XL bag of candy corn pumpkins) between me and my favorite weekend of the year.

After last year’s costume debacle (I went as Rachel Zoe and everyone thought I was an Olsen twin…) I decided to go with something a bit more obvious this year. The costume is awesome, but not only is it not sexy, it’s so bulky I couldn’t make out with a guy if I wanted to! But that’s OK – I made out with The Joker in a corner last year and couldn’t get his makeup off my face for hours.

But enough about me.

I wanna know what everyone else is gonna be this weekend. You gonna Lady Gaga it out? Perhaps do a little Mario Kart? Or are you just goin’ for straight-up skankified? Share your Halloween costumes below. I can’t wait to see what everyone else has up their sleeve (or super short skirt…).

    I am going as a bellydancer. I already had all the stuff since I am a member of the bellydance troupe here at school, which made it really easy, but there is also enough versatility in the stuff that I have that I could make several different costumes out of it.

    i'm a cat burglar! I got a bunch of stuff to dress like a cat, then on top i'm adding a bandit mask and a sack filled with empty boxes for expensive things…xbox box, ipod case, etc…

    going as a stereotype girl from my school's rival university (that just happens to be down the street). rolled down hawks sweats, uggs, lots of makeup, a red beer cup, and a ping pong ball.

    I'm going as Spencer Pratt. Which was not as easy as I'd hoped. Turns out, they don't have a "flesh colored beard" aisle at my local Halloween store.

    Reverse Cowgirl! Western clothes and hat, backwards. Unfortunately, the boots have to be forward, but it's still pretty fantastic!!!

    I feel repetitive after you mention this twice in the post, except not in the concept of a costume. My costume = a candy corn! Orange skirt, Bright yellow skirt and white knit cap= easy costume and clothes that I can continue to wear the rest of the year :)

    i actually went to a halloween party last night and dressed up like the statue of liberty… with my green snuggie. i was a symbol of freedom for snugs everywhere.

    I dressed up as Barbie for a Halloween party last weekend. I wore a pink gown my mom wore in the 80s, and pink accessories. Today, I’m dressed as Marla Singer (from Fight Club). It cost me absolutely nothing, and it’s not as crazy to wear out while I’m running errands.
