I'm actually a little surprised it didn't take a little longer. But if anything, it IS, at the very least, convenient for her album and for Chris Brown's album–they both should be coming out soon, right?

But besides that, when I watched it, it seemed to me that there were certain things that she didn't want to talk about–and she didn't unless she was asked. What she did do was speak out about domestic violence, the basics of what happened, the "before, during, and after" of what happened, why she went back to him, etc. It was an eye-opener for me as to what the hell was going on in her head (like seriously? I did NOT get why she would go back to him after that beating).

I don't think it's a matter of why didn't she do it sooner. I'm betting she isn't ready to talk about it now. Her publicist probably said hey, listen you need to do this for your career, so suck it up and talk about it.

Nine months might seem like a long time to us, but the whole incident probably feels like it was just yesterday. Esp with how much Chris Brown brought it up…

I think she's brave to talk about it all, regardless of when it is. And I see this as her publicists fault, not hers.
