Lady Gaga: Bad Romance or Really Good Drugs?

If you’ve ever wondered what an acid trip was like, Lady Gaga’s latest music video seems like a pretty close match. Seriously, this thing is freaking me out. It’s like Girl Talk mashed up a Gaga song and a drug-fueled mini-porn… then threw in a little couture fashion product placement (Burberry jacket, Alexander McQueen shoes, Chanel sunglasses…) for a little extra cash on the side.

I’m really not sure what’s going on here, but I do know that the person behind this 5 minutes of freakiness is on something illegal. And it’s really, really good ish.

I mean, no sane and sober person could come up with a bear-skin dress…or Gaga shooting a corpse with her left breast. God, those are words I never thought I’d string together in a single sentence.

Just watch and you’ll understand the madness. Well, not the madness but at least you’ll see what I’m talkin’ about.

    I think this song is catchy and fun. The video is cool. I guess not much shocks me anymore. If you've seen almost any Rammstein video it probably won't shock you either. :P

    I'm not a big fan of Gaga but I loved this video! The styling is SOLID, and the song is actually catchy and relatable.

    I'm a stylist and I can imagine how crazy it was to conceptualize, find, create all the costumes needed for this vid. Love it!

    I never thought I'd like Lady Gaga, but I adored this song and the video. She's like one of those crazy geniuses in high fashion that dress ppl in crazy shit that somehow is aesthetically pleasing. AMAZING. And I love her little "ra-ra ro ro ro ma ga ga ooh lala" ish part. ADORE HER VOICE in that. High pitches better be high, deep voices better be deep. When doing a rough voice-go rough. Why I don't like most pop-they play safe a lot. But this was just great!

    the video has many nods to the austin power movies. the cat, and bra-area guns included. the video is very artsy and tells a story, as well – which sets it way above the norm for me.

    the kind that makes her do shit nobody else will do. it gives me hope for humanity when she does wacky ass shit and takes no prisoners.
