Your hair is long enough to do the fauxhawk! I do it to mine and mine is barely past my chin. Of course mine ends up slightly different and a little edgier (but that's how I like it!). I think if you started by sectioning off the part you want to make into the fauxhawk and clipping it forward so its out of the way; then slick the sides back and pin them with bobbypins in the back. All you would have to do from there would be to unclip the top, give it some volume, and slick it back!

Casey: I'm glad you're a fellow risk-taker! Hopefully you'll use this :)

B: I wasn't going for the actual fauxhawk that Kim has in the picture, I was going for the other fauxkawk she has in that one shoulder red leopard dress. I wanted to do a toned down version of hers, which is what the video is on. My hair isn't quite long enough to do the full fauxhawk anyway, so maybe in a year I'll try it!

I think you're going in the right direction with your video, but you've left it a little unfinished. Kim's is more slicked back on the side creating a true fauxhawk, but yours is still at the teased half-pony look (which is cute, just not a traditional fauxhawk.) I think, that if you gathered a little less from the top (kind of like if you were just going to do a front bump,) but teased it further back, and then slicked the remaining part from between the bump and your ears, you'd have it perfect. I'm sure you'll be able to pull off whatever.

I totally agree. I hate traditional up-do's. Personally I don't think they are flattering on anyone (and most of the guys I've talked to agree). I always take big risks with my hair and makeup as well, and like you said the pay off is great. I always have the most unique hair and makeup at events because I design them myself, and I get compliments on them all night.

And I love the fauxhawk look, so thanks for this video!
