Yes, it tends to be a lot more mellow that popular music, but that doesn't make it boring. In fact, it can be quite varied, with different speeds, different levels of sound (loud vs. quiet), and different in the type of moods it sets (haunting, lively, melancholy, etc). Also, there is such a wide variety of composers that you shouldn't just contain yourself to one. I realize that Mozart is more widely known than some, but there are also some really good classical composers that are not as well known.
