This pill is NOT going to alter your genes. It will simply block or activate them, depending on what type of hair you want. Genes are not being read by our bodies 24/7. Think of it this way: you don't have the lights in your house switched on all the time, they're only on when you need them at night. This pill is basically just going to act as the on/off switch for the gene that cause you hair follicles to make curly textured hair.

The only problem I can see with this is that its not going to work right away. I would think you'd have to re-grow it whilst taking the pill, since your follicles can't change the structure of the hair you've already grown.

Researchers for YEARS have been able to isolate genes and have been successful with it. In gene therapy they can alter the genes in a zygote to make sure the child will grow up with out the disease the parents passed on.

I don't plan on taking the pill, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a huge hit.
