CC Beauty Live: Golden Eye
New Year’s is almost here and after many nights with a classic smokey eye, I thought it might be nice to change it up. After all, the new year is all about change, right? So I came up with this subtle gold smokey look that will still draw attention to your eyes without the fuss of all that black eyeshadow.
It’s pretty quick, too! This look only takes about 8 minutes and uses just 3 colors (that you probably already own). That means you can spend less time and money on your face and more time and money where it belongs: at the preparty.
Happy New Year!

Awesome job, as always. I think it would be helpful if you posted a couple of pictures with the video–it seems to me the lighting in the videos is typically kind of dark, which makes seeing your face/makeup more difficult… Maybe the pics could just give us another look at the makeup?

Thanks for your videos! Question- how do you clean makeup brushes immediately after use? I know you have to thoroughly clean them after a certain amount of uses, but say you've applied one color with a brush and then want to wipe it off to use it for another eye color. How do you quickly clean your brushes? Thanks!

Jess- Thanks, I've been considering doing that for a while, and I think I will be adding pictures in future posts for 2010!
Alice- I usually keep tissues or a clean washcloth handy and just brush back and forth on those to get the shadow off. That's the quickest way to clean brushes. I wouldn't recommend actually washing them while switching shadows, so just brush off the excess powder until it runs clean on the tissue/washcloth. Hope that helps!
