Not being a Christmas celebrater myself, it took me quite a few years to get used to getting phone calls at 8am on December 26th, my friends screaming about True Religions, the Gilmore Girls DVD box-set, and “OMG MY MOM GOT ME THREE HANDLES OF SMIRNOFF!!!” on the other end.

And while I didn’t appreciate the early morning wake up call, I did enjoy hearing about all the goodies I’d soon be able to borrow/benefit from upon returning to campus.

Everyone knows the best part of the holiday break is not the sleeping in or the 90210 marathons on Soap Net. It’s the 42 phone calls you make (from that new iPhone, baby!) immediately after opening your loot to tell everyone what you got, then sitting in your room and trying on all the clothes/playing with all the toys while noshing on some of mom’s famous desserts.

Just thinking about it makes me giddy.

Anyways, now that you’ve come out of your Christmas (or Chinese, what up Jews?!) food coma, we wanna know what you got for Christmas/Hanukkah/while you were home over break and your parents were feeling generous.

So… whatcha get?!
And when can I come over to borrow?

    Mix one 160 GB ipod with a shiny new red digital camera. Throw in 2 cups of Bones on DVD (Seasons 1 & 2). A dash of House (Season 5). Sprinkle in some money for good measure along with other trinkets and do-dads. Bake at 400° over several days and you get a the best Christmas presents!

    I got a bunch of new palettes, liners, and brushes for my makeup kit that I take on jobs. ^.^

    Also a bunch of books by my favorite romance author. My dad apparently happened to find them at a used book store for 25cents each so he got me a ton. ^.^

    Umm…some movies i'm really jazzed about: Shock Treatment, Reefer Madness, The Hangover, some Disney movies. ^.^

    Clothes, of course, because my two favorite pairs of jeans finally died on me.

    And last…my big gift from my grandmother….a video camera. I'm beginning to do makeup tutorials on youtube and such so they got me a better quality camera for those tutorials. ^.^

    What did everyone else get? I LOVE hearing everything that people got.

    My parents got me a real strand of extra long pearls and earrings to match…and my boyfriend gave me a solitaire pearl necklace with a diamond on top…..i feel like audrey covered up with so many pearls!

    A nice set of MAC makeup brushes, purple over-the-ear headphones (so my generic Apple earbuds stop making my funny-shaped ears want to fall off!), SUPERFREAKONOMICS!!!, various beauty products, monies and gift cards, and a black cashmere cardigan from J. Crew that I've been pining for for a while.

    a 32 inch Sony Bravia TV, so I can finally stop using my 10 inch Sanyo with built in VHS from 2000. :)
