Jenna Jameson taught me how to give a blow job.
I never got a private lesson (no matter how many emails my boyfriend sent begging her), but I found her fool proof tips tucked away on page 108 of her autobiography, How To Make Love Like A Porn Star. It’s actually a really interesting read (especially compared to the 18th Century Lit I’ve been reading) and I recommend you go out and buy it. But for now, I’ll just share with you a few of her 10 Commandments for giving “killer head he’ll never forget.”
Come on – who doesn’t want to know that?
Eye Contact.
Jenna says: “When you’re going down on him, keep your hair out of your face and look up at him with big doe eyes.”
I say: Great, but we’re not all porn stars, and it strains your neck to make eye contact the whole time. Just make sure you look up occasionally and try to make some sexy “I really love what I’m doing” eyes while you do.
Use Your Hands Wisely.
Jenna says: “In addition to stroking him, try tickling his balls a little.”
I say: “Mind the stepchildren” is something all guys want us to do. Fine. But even if that area isn’t really your thing, using your hands is also a great way to make things easier on you (read: give that jaw a break) and make things better for him (read: a little added pressure). Just make sure to use plenty of saliva to keep things smooth. Read More »

Dear Dude,
I want a boyfriend. I have been single for the last four years, and although there have been opportunities for love to kindle, things just never seem to work out. I think a part of it is my fault. I am very conscious about my weight (I am full-figured). I think I am a very intelligent, funny and generous person, and I have a great circle of friends. But I don’t know how to show a guy that I have all these qualities because, frankly, most guys seem more interested in the way women look. Dude, how can I make a guy see past my weight to the person that I am inside, when looks play such a huge role in a guy’s opinion of a girl?
Sincerely,
Single and Not Loving It
P.S. I want to add that I am not ugly, just a little overweight. Read More »

So with the recent influx of Spiedi-bites and Guidette catfights on MTV, there is finally hope for our generation to be remembered for some old fashioned do-gooding.
MTV’s latest reality show, The Buried Life, chronicles the journey of four boys from Canada, (Ben, Duncan (<3), Jonnie and Dave) who realized that they didn’t want to die with unfulfilled lives, so they wrote out a list of things they wanted to do before they died, bought a bus (Penelope) and set out to accomplish their own “bucket lists.” But in addition to every dream they crossed off on their lists, they decided that they would do one thing for someone else, making it doubly fulfilling.
In the first episode (which I just watched thanks to 200 pages of reading on Monday night), the boys set out to accomplish their sixth list item: party at the Playboy mansion (they are guys after all). Two of the guys dress up like Oompa Loompas and attempt to get in through a cake and Ben dressed up as soccer star Christiano Ronaldo to try and get in. The mission was successful as far as the boys were concerned, but not just because they got to party with some scantily clad lady friends. They also (through some serious street performing skills) got a new computer for an LA grade school in need. Read More »
Winter is one of my absolutely favorite seasons. It houses Christmas, New Year’s, my birthday, and best of all, snow. And to me, snow means one of my favorite activities: skiing!
Whether you’re a seasoned snowboarder or a bunny-slope warrior, the ski slopes have something to offer us all (even if it is only hot chocolate in the lodge cafeteria). Surprisingly though, considering I kiss the snow every 5 feet, skiing isn’t always the most environmentally friendly activity. Between the lifts and the plows and the resort hot tubs running all night long, skiing can leave quite a mark on Mother Earth. But it doesn’t have to.
If you’ve got plans to hit the slopes this season, keep nature and a few of these things in mind:
Are the slopes graded or cleared?
This one’s tricky because it’s a little hard to tell whether you’re skiing on a graded or cleared slope. A cleared slope is created by cutting down trees and shrubs to make a smooth downhill run. A graded slope is like a cleared slope on steroids. Bulldozers are brought in to scrape off the top layers of the soil to make the run unnaturally smooth and hence, boring. This leaves that particular ecosystem in ruins, causing erosion and decreasing plant biodiversity. Plus, it takes a lot more resources to maintain because the natural infrastructure isn’t in place to maintain itself. When you have the choice, ski on a cleared slope to challenge yourself and save the environment.

There are some things you learn in life (and in textbooks) that you never forget.
We went to the moon in 1969.
Plants live by converting sunlight into energy through the process of photosynthesis.
Cows have four stomachs.
All of those things are important to know if you want to pass that middle school test, but when it comes to the real stuff – the life lessons – textbooks don’t hold a candle to TV. Yes, I’m serious.
TV – even the crappiest of the crappy reality shows – has taught me some invaluable lessons about life and the world. Things you can’t get from a 2 hour Intro to Biology lecture or a 4-credit History of English course. Below are a few of the greatest lessons I’ve learned from my nights spent on the couch, chips and salsa in hand. Read More »

One would think getting Monday off would make for a more pleasant week, but one would be wrong. Yeah, we’re all one day closer to the weekend, but we also spent one more day last weekend partying it up and eating cheese fries at 3am. And it has taken a serious toll on our bodies. We’re seriously dreaming of the moment we can crawl into bed, watch Modern Family and pass out.
But before we do, let’s play a game of Would You Rather. If nothing else, pondering life’s most random situations will turn our brains on for those back-to-back lectures we have this afternoon. Think long and hard – and then re-think it just to be sure – and choose your answer. Then, if you can handle the thought, share your reasoning in the comment section below. Read More »
“All I want to do now is f**k the girls I’ve already f**ked, because I can’t fathom explaining myself to somebody who can’t believe I’d be interested in them. I’m too freaked out to meet anybody else”
-John Mayer (Rolling Stone)
Ok John Mayer, what the hell?
Let’s just forget about the fact that you have, time and again, been in insanely dysfunctional relationships with some of the most beautiful women ever: Jessica, Minka, and, lest the world forget, Jen. But that’s not the point here. The point here is this: you are now in a dysfunctional relationship with your fans. The people who should be most important to you. The people who are most important to most celebrities who don’t love themselves as much as you do.
The things you say and do make us want to hate you. You say stupid things in interviews, and fans like me think, why? Why do I still love this man? Why do I keep buying his albums and listening to them on repeat, insisting that this song is a metaphor for my life?
John Mayer, you are the bad boyfriend that every girl thinks she’s over. She tells her girlfriends, “Hah! Even if he called me tomorrow begging me to come back, I wouldn’t do it!” Then you put out another album and I fall in love all over again. You torture me with songs like “Say,” which is relatable to anyone in its haunting message of untold feelings. And then I agonize when you put out what may be the best ever cover of “Free Fallin’,” one of my favorite songs of all time. It’s then that I think, he’s not so bad. Anyone who has such a way with music can’t be that horrible, there has to be some good in there somewhere. Deep down. Waaay deep down. Read More »
Who inspires your style? Or better question, WHAT inspires your style? Many of us use celebrities (like Khloe Kardashian) as style inspiration, even though, most of the time, they are being dressed from head to toe by the best stylists. Which we don’t have. And sometimes it’s damn near impossible to work their Hollywood looks into our not-so-Hollywood lives. I’ve made it my mission to tap into the mind of a fashion stylist and show you how to take your style inspiration – whatever it may be – and make it more, well, you!
I’ve seen a lot of movies in my 19 and a half years on this Earth, and no character has ever inspired me like Kate Hudson’s in Almost Famous. (If you haven’t seen it, you must. Right now!) This movie is based off of the rock and roll music scene of the early 1970s and Penny Lane, the leading lady/groupie, represents this era with her free-spirited, eclectic-yet-chic bohemian wardrobe.
We’ve come a long way since Penny Lane’s time, but the bohemian look has stuck around, cycling in and out of fashion every year. And I can’t help but love it.
No matter the decade, this style is very wearable, whether to a theme party or to a long day of classes. The key to not looking too costume-y is taking some of the quintessential 70s items and mixing them with a few modern pieces. It’s easy to incorporate the elements of the early 70s rock era to your look with vintage flowers, classic flared jeans, sunglasses (Aviator or Elton John-style,) a furry jacket, and many different styles of boots. All of which are seen everywhere right now. Corduroy, velvet, and suede were also very popular back in Penny Lane’s days (or when our parents were our age, drinking Coors and listening to some Led Zeppelin) and can easily be picked up and incorporated into your own Boho-chic look as well.
