Would You Rather…
March 10, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to fast forward through 50 minutes of BS/commercials/Kara Dioguardi talking to find out who gets voted off of Idol. It also means that it’s time to pass the slowest day of the week with a little game of “Would You Rather….”
So, here is this week’s question. Think long and hard, answer, then tell us why in the comments below.
Would you rather change the legal drinking age to 18 or legalize marijuana?
Things to Consider: Freshman year, relaxing after a stressful week, unlimited food in the caf.

Meh. We all drink at 18 anyway. Bring on the legal pot (and then a lot of Cheetos)

I would say the opposite. We all smoke anyways- that doesn't rely on age (and if its legalized it probably would). If drinking age was 18 at least we could go to bars/ clubs/ concerts.

Im gonna go with smoke. I agree with both of the posts above, yes we all drink @ 18 and yes we all prob smoke @ 18, but drinking underage and gettting busted with an illegal substance by some ass that has never smoked and never will carries a heavier sentence.

Drinking age. It causes so many irresponsible and dangerous situations when people have to drink at parties and in dorm rooms rather than out in bars or restaurants.

Mariam– you say "Drinking age. It causes so many irresponsible and dangerous situations when people have to drink at parties and in dorm rooms rather than out in bars or restaurants".
Drinking period regardless of age leads many people to dangerous situations and a lot of people are irresponsible no what they drinking or smoking or whatever.
Just becuase its in a bar doesnt make it any more responsible. There are more deaths and accidents related to drinking than there are related to smoking.

Well, I'm from Canada. (And still reading this blog for some reason……) so in some provinces the drinking age is 18 anyways! Canada FTW!

i would have to say legalizing weed because it could could potentially hugely stimulate our economy. underage drinkers are already paying liquor stores for alcohol, they're just not getting it from there directly. weed, on the other hand, could open up a whole new market, and our government would probably tax it like they do cigarettes.

Honestly america isn't ready for the drinking age to be 18. Seeing how most of us are 18 when we're seniors. There would be way more high school parties. The case of rape for young girls (14-16) would be way higher.

You have to be a complete IMPATIENT moron to say lower the drinking age! Geez, just wait a couple of years and you can have all the boos you want! You know how many people wouldn't graduate high school if they lowered the drinking age?
Legalize it, tax it and be happy. And maybe the government would be able to afford new computers and text books for our public schools!
Think people!
