From PopEater: Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ Video!

March 12, 2010     Posted in Buzz

Last month, Lady Gaga got the internet buzzing when she released pictures from the set of her video for ‘Telephone,’ which co-stars Beyonce. Fans wondered just what she could be up to this time and now the wait is finally over.

For their second pairing — Gaga and Beyonce collaborated on the latter’s ‘Video Phone‘ remix last year — the diva duo certainly go above and beyond the already-high expectations. The nine-and-a-half-minute video picks up where the clip for ‘Paparazzi‘ ended — in prison. From there, it gets even wilder, with plenty of Gaga and Beyonce’s trademark dance moves and outrageous outfits, as well as an intense fight scene, poisoning, a cameo from Tyrese Gibson and references to movies like ‘Kill Bill‘ and ‘Thelma and Louise.’

Check out the video for ‘Telephone’ here… and get ready to have your mind blown.

Holy hell. It's so weird. I don't get it. Yet I can't look away.

The number of product placements in this video is amazing. Marketers are getting smarter! http://popculture2point0.wordpress.com/2010/03/12

One thing is for sure, I could not look away. It was just too weird to like, from the mismatched lyrics ("you called out/can't hear a thing/I have got no service in the club you see/see" does not match the fact that she is on a telephone in jail), to the truck beyonce drives.

It would have been better if in the end they really did get away, and the helicopter wasn't following them.
