[There are over 100 million sites on the Internet. 100 million! You might think you know about all the important ones (CollegeCandy, Gmail, Google, TFLN…), but there are thousands of other sweet sites out there (like Covet, Any Clip, and Live Mocha) and more showing up every day! We get it – it’s not easy or fun sifting through the crap and porn to find those gems, so we’re gonna bring the gems to you. Just sit back, kick up those feet and allow us to introduce you to the diamonds in the internet rough.]
Ah, summer. There’s something about this time of year that brings back memories of the beach, county fairs, baseball, and, of course, family vacations. Although at times, my family drove me crazy on those trips and I’d much rather have been anywhere else than with them, there are still tons of great memories of all those long drives to see relatives, camping trips, and visits to amusement parks that filled my summer vacations growing up.
So in honor of both summer (which officially starts next Monday) and Father’s Day this Sunday, I give you: Dads on Vacation.
Dads on Vacation is a hilarious Tumblr blog that features (you guessed it) photos of readers’ dads on vacation. The concept is just as brilliant as it is simple, and you won’t be able to help smiling when you get a look at all the pictures. There’s plenty of examples of classic “Dad style” that makes me nostalgic for my own dad’s vacation outfits: the high white socks with either sneakers or sandals, short shorts, the wide-brimmed straw hat, canteen strapped around the waist for hikes, and the inevitable Hawaiian-print shirt for more “dressy” occasions.
Do yourself a favor and check out Dads on Vacation–not only will it make you smile, but it’s also a great way to celebrate both Father’s Day and Summer!

Brianna – My fiance & I have set a new goal , I guess you could call it, for 2010 and on. He works for Cutco, a high iqaluty kitchen cutlery brand-Number 2 in the world, Number 1 in the US. One of the top salesmen in the company, Hal Elrod, wrote a book called The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed To Change Your Life (Before 8am) . Basically, the book tells you how this guy schedules his mornings to be more successful. You get up early and there’s different stages: Meditation/Religious, Reading, Journaling, Affirmations/Goals, and Exercise. The first stage you do whatever you believe will help you. I’m fairly religious, so I’ve chosen to read the Bible or do a devotional during that time. Then you read whatever you feel will help you. Then you write in a journal. Then you visualize your day & set goals for the day. And finally, you exercise. You can take as long as you want on each stage, we’re doing about 15 minutes per stage, and then 30 for exercising. We’re very excited about our Miracle Morning. I’m sharing it with everyone!
