CC Beauty Live: Shiny Locks

Fall is a changing season: the weather gets cool, the leaves change colors, and you add some sweaters to your wardrobe. But, contrary to what the beauty industry tells you, one thing that doesn’t have to change is your hair color.

I know so many girls who spend a ton of money every season changing up their color. Don’t! There’s an alternative to coloring your hair that will still give you a little boost and that much-desired change we all crave at the beginning of a new year: clear glazes! I got mine from L’oreal Paris at RiteAid (cheap!), and it looks like I just got my hair professionally dyed because it’s so super shiny.

Want to make a change? I’ve got the DL.

I LOVE your hair and makeup here! Is that your natural hair texture? Possible tutorial!?

You look so pretty Caitlin! This product sounds like a sweet deal but a quick google search showed nothing but bad reviews for it…hmm

Thanks for this! I had a clear gloss done professionally a few years ago and I loved it, but decided that the treatment just didn't fit into my budget. It's good to know that there's a drugstore version!

JL, dot: Thank you! There will definitely be a tutorial on that look :)

Reems: Thanks! I’m surprised that there were a lot of bad reviews because I loved this product! Even after several washes, my hair is still super shiny and feels great. I thought it was a great product for so cheap.

Emily: I love getting salon glosses, but they’re so expensive! There are several other brands so try them out for sure!!

What does the gloss do to the texture of your hair? I really want to try it, but I have super straight hair that tends to go flat. Do you think it weighs your hair down?

I used this in the summer and it worked really well for me too. I didn't notice a HUGE boost in the shininess of my hair but it was a lot softer and cut down on frizz even when it was super hot out. I'd highly recommend it!

Kelsey: It didn't do anything to the texture of my hair. I have super curly hair, and it made it less frizzy but it didn't weigh it down at all. When I straighten it, it's a lot smoother without being flat. I hope this helps!

Charlotte: I'm glad you liked it too!
