We put it on every day. For some of us, it’s a source of support. For others, it’s a source of cleavage. And for the boys we meet (be it in class or through online dating), it’s a source of stress as they try to stealthily unhook it with one hand. The bra is an important part of every woman’s life and, as we recently learned, rich in boobular history.

Nice, except for the fact that there are no such things as a "B cup" or "C cup". Cup sizes are relative to band size, hence a 28D will be much smaller than a 34D. Actually, a 28D cup will be smaller than a 32A cup !

Also, I have repeatedly read, from many different sources, and learned in class, that bra burning never happened.

@Leigha: Actually, the instance the article refers to was a demonstration in which a LOT of things that were considered symbols of oppression and patriarchy, one of which was a bra, were put into barrel and burned. The media, irresponsibly, referred to bra-burning so often that it became a culturally shared memory of the feminist movement, even though it never happened. I wish College Candy had done a bit more research. Even though a bra was burned, it wasn't any kind of mass "bra-burning." A lot of things were burned.
