Miley Cyrus Is Not a Rebecca Black Fan

So…Miley Cyrus doesn’t like Rebecca Black. Not even a little bit. And here’s why.

But I have to wonder. I mean, isn’t that a little bit like the pot calling the kettle…well, Black? They’re both teen pop stars (or soon to be pop stars). They both appeal to a younger audience. They’re both relatively annoying super cool. But yet Miley doesn’t like the girl that has been trending on Twitter for weeks. And you want to know why?

Because it was too easy for her to get famous. Miley doesn’t think someone should be able to put up a video on YouTube and then end up with a hit single and a tour. Um, hello Miley, have you not met Justin Bieber? That’s exactly how he was discovered/got a 3D IMAX movie. So why are you singling out the newest teen queen? Why should it matter how Rebecca Black made it big?

I’m not exactly a Rebecca Black fan myself, but a lot of people are. And a lot of people actually like the song. There has to be a reason it’s selling so well on iTunes, right? So what if that all started with some YouTube hits? We don’t all have has-been country stars for dads who can get us a starring role on a Disney show. For whatever the reason (I’ll never figure that one out) Friday is a hit. Let little Miss Rebecca Black enjoy it while it lasts, Miley. Don’t complain about the how and the why just because you’re afraid the newest thirteen-year-old child star tweets and you don’t is going to steal your thunder. Rebecca Black is famous because of a YouTube video.

Deal with it.

And, BTW, if you’re really worried, you’re 18, which means you’re plenty old enough to make a new kinda YouTube video to get you back in the spotlight, if you know what I’m sayin’….

    OMG!! Rebecca is famous not because she’s talented its all because her voice is annoying!!and compare to miley…miley has a lot to say she’s much talented than that girl,I heared her song “Friday” and it was so annoying her voice is not good at all !! I don’t hate rebecca but I don’t like her either..

    She is SOOOOOO Rightttttt!!! I mean come on…the "Friday" song is on the top of my WORST song list…and what's up with the lyrics of it anyway?? go to the bus stop…sitting in the front sit…eat cerieal?? I mean no wonder Justin Bieber would NEVER do a duet with her…

    I cannot believe this little brat crying about some little girl making it. True stars are happy for people making it and know you cannot build yourself up by knocking others down. I didn't hear Mick Jagger crying that Steve Tyler and his band only made it because they won the battle of the band on American Band Stand and got a record contract but they are real music stars. I could go ahead and down her more but Miley and her family does enough their selves they don’t need any help.

    I went to Mtv News and checked out the Friday video and I am not into bubble gum but it was cute and well done for 13 year old kids. I don't know who these other commentors arebut they are acting as childish by their comments as that spoiled little brat Miley is. Grow the hell up you are 18 now, Miley.

    umm…Friday's popular because it's so terrible, not because people legitimately like the song itself. It's great – now I know Sunday comes after Saturday. Fun fun fun fun…
    That said, Rebecca seems cool and self-aware enough to understand that, which is more than what can be said about many 13-year-olds. I don't think she should be referred to as a soon-to-be pop star though.

    Wow. This has gotta be the most ignorant article I've ever read. For one thing, there's a DIFFERENCE between Justin bieber and Rebecca blac. Just bieber WORKED FOR IT and EARNED IT. Rebecca blacks rich parents bought it for her. And what would make you think Miley is jealous? Why would Miley be jealous of a terribly untalented spoiled little girl who everyone hates?? And I haveNOidea why you would say a lot of people like the song. Thats the biggest piece of crap I've ever heard and even YOU know it's false. It's only popular cause people buy iton iTunes to make fun of it.
    BTW Mileys not famous because of her dad. Shes done the work herself and got cast on Hannah Montana on her own and her dad was castes after her. Wow. Research before you feed everyone all this crap.

    ummm, ok. Miley Cyrus has talent and id pick her any day over Black. Seriously, dont understand why so many people are against Miley. She can sing, act, and be a normal teenager all at the same time…. Let her live her life. I was exactly like her at her age and i turned out ok.

    Who the hell is Miley Cyrus to slam somebody else when she is a crappy singer herself. Copious use of autotune there. I'll admit that "Friday" is probably the worst thing to ever hit my ears, but the girl who sang it is a sensation. Miley is just scared that the singer of a horrible song is going to steal her spotlight. Boo hoo Miley!
