Baggin’ Out: Diane Von Furstenberg Color On The Go Tote

Every girl needs a good purse (or 12). Whether you’re going for groceries or running from class to class, they are simply essential for holding all your, uh, essentials. As a college student, I love using my summer break for traveling. When I’m grown up and living in the real world, I’ll have to pay bill after bill and probably won’t be able to afford to travel for quite a few years. So, I try to find steals and deals and jet-set as much as possible while it’s still within reach. This means roadtripping at a moment’s notice or packing for overseas in only a couple days (yes, it’s been done), and I’ve found it’s nice to have a go-to piece of luggage that I know fits my essentials and can stand up to the rough conditions of coach. Browsing Polyvore, I stumbled upon this gem of a travel piece and knew I had to feature it!

Traveling with a piece of good luggage is such an easy way to enhance your experience. You’ll look and feel super chic while trudging through the airport! This tote by Diane Von Furstenberg comes in a gorgeous deep plum or olive with tan accents. It’s a bit hard to see, but the outer and inner fabrics feature a pattern of “DVF”s, as does the plaque on the front.

The zipper opens super wide, ensuring that you can fit all your fragile items and a change of clothes in the tote. Lost luggage is a common problem, so packing a change of clothes in your carry-on is now recommended. The interior features a large back zip pocket and the tote also sports a strap for crossbody or shoulder wear. And, the bottom is protected by four metal feet!

Even though this tote may be a bit larger of a bag than you’re used to, it would still be a suitable purse for out and about, especially when you need to bring a lot with you. New book bag, anyone? Needless to say, this will be a versatile addition to your purse collection and at only $50, a designer steal!
