The Harry Potter series (aka the best book/movie series that has ever existed, am I right??) is coming to a close this summer, and I couldn’t be more sad about it. I cried on the phone to my mom the day I finished reading the last book, and I have a feeling something like that may just happen all over again when I walk out of the theater after seeing the last installment of Harry’s saga.

If you feel the same way, never fear. Here at CollegeCandy, we love to find ways to keep your spirits up–even if it seems impossible in the face of such a tragedy as fresh HP material leaving our lives forever. To help ease the pain, we’ve hit the internet to find some of the most random facts about the Harry Potter movies.

If you're putting Daniel Radcliffe over Orlando Bloom you need to get glasses.

I knew over half those things, not because they are obvious, but because I'm a Potter nerd lol. Good slideshow.

Any chance we can stop using galleries and just list them? They never load for me and all my stuff is new.

We're working on improving the galleries! We should be rolling out a whole new format by the end of this month.

Next time can you please make the gallery font more ledgible like maybe a bolder color, every time i click through them I can barely read it because the background over shadows the black font.

Maybe Michael Jackson's musical would have sucked, but I know two very funny, well-made (parody) musicals about Harry Potter. Starkid, anyone?

Actually it was Richard Harris who took the job as Dumbledore at the request of his granddaughter. He turned down the role 3 times, but his granddaughter threatened to never speak to him again if he did not take the job.

Was about to point out that A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel are hysterical/brilliant/amazing, and probably better than what Michael Jackson pitched, but someone beat me to it! Glad I'm not the only starkid fan out here!

Richard Harris played Dumbledore for the first two movies and it was his granddaughter that threatened never to speak to him again if he did not take the role.He died and was replaced by Michael Gambon. Last paragraph of Later Career:

Me! He is AMAZING! I just really wanted one photo of him and Dan together though. The two Harrys, together at last.

I think JKR said Dumbledore was gay because he was more popular than she was.
