Mariah Carey’s HSN Freak Out and Top 4 Other Diva Moments

There are a whole lot of divas out there. But Mariah Carey has GOT to be among the worst. This clip actually made me die a little inside.

Here’s a quick recap of her cameo on the Home Shopping Network: Mariah freaks out about “unflattering” camera angles, doesn’t seem too thrilled her earrings are selling for $40 and makes a lot of outlandish comments about diamonds. My favorite part? Almost going as far as saying having twins wasn’t worth her body changes. Almost, but not quite.

Oh, Mariah. This was just unreal. In honor of what I hope would be the most embarrassing moment of her life (but she’s a diva, so it probably isn’t) I decided to round up four more Mariah (or alter ego Mimi) Diva Moments…

1. Getting seriously upset she was not seated with Obama at his inauguration. Seriously.  I mean I’d go ahead say his family deserves the prime seating a bit more than you, Ms. Heartbreaker.

2.) Rumor has it, she used to have 10 bodyguards eat around her at restaurants so no one could see her.

3.) While signing autographs once in the UK, she demanded a throne to set her booty on. It retailed around $1600. Oh and it was to be surrounded by roses and butterflies.

4.) She wants a box of kittens and puppies backstage as part of her wardrobe demands.

    I love this site, but I can't believe what I am reading. Of course Mariah is a Diva, she said so herself…Have you seen any of her other interviews? I'm now sure why you think her behavior is shocking.
    Your bodyguard comment makes no sense. She can't go ANYWHERE in the WORLD without them. Fans would go crazy, rip off her clothes, and fight each other to get near her…this has happened to her before. I believe this happened recently in Japan…Trust me, she needs bodyguards. She isn't doing this because she thinks she's better than anyone!
    If she wants a comfortable seat to sit on, who cares? She has the money for it! Other celebrities do this too. If you have a problem with this, perhaps you're a bit insecure, or jealous.
    Ha! watched the show. She never said her kids were NOT worth the body changes..You must have missed the part when she said that her clothing line was made for all women: even pregnant women would be comfortable in her clothing…or did you even LOOK at the clothing? (duh).
    If you are going to make judgements, get your facts straight. :-|

    Even though I think Mariah Carey is a very talented person, I dont think that gives her an excuse to be a diva. In the end, she would be nothing without her numerous supporting fans.

    When it comes to her $40 earrings, what the hell was she expecting? For Christ’s sake, she’s selling them on the freaking Home Shopping Network. HSN isn’t exactly a Saks Fifth. Mariah needs to learn to be a little bit humble, it’s not like she cured cancer or created world peace. She is just a pop singer (with incredible pipes)
