What It Is:
Clarins Mosaique Bronzer
Why This Should Be in Your Bag:
Bronzer is a summer necessity, as far as I’m concerned. Even if you’re a pale lady, like me, you can fake a golden glow with the right bronzer and application. Bronzer is also essential for contouring your face and making your gorgeous features just pop! I’ve been using bronzer since my first foray into makeup and consider myself to be somewhat of an expert.
Clarins is a great, high-end brand that pumps out quality products but sometimes flies under the radar. However, with their Mosaique Bronzer for Summer 2011, they are sure to hit center stage. I mean, look at it – stunning!

I don’t know if the problem I’ve been having with my social life is a post-grad problem, or a Brittany problem – but I’m about to share it. Here goes. I recently purchased the UK edition of Cosmopolitan. Inside the glorious shiny cover was an article called, ‘Do You Have Feeling Left Out Syndrome?’ The first moment I looked at it with my glistening stank eye, I decided “No, I do not have a Feeling Left Out Syndrome. I never check my phone constantly, sign on to Facebook just to see what’s up, update my Twitter every day or constantly imagine what everyone could possibly be doing at this very moment….”
But then it hit me: I have ‘Feeling Left Out Syndrome.’ So bad.
In fact, since leaving a college atmosphere where every moment of every day was surrounded by activities and play time, I’ve run face-first into a world where I’m constantly digging for things to be involved in. I never feel like I’m doing enough with my free time and always feel the pressure to grab happy hour with girlfriends, dance around the bar every Saturday night, snag coffee with a co-worker…
The constant pressure to do things all the time gets to my head. Like seriously, I get a migraine. Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone else feel like they need to grasp every opportunity to play the social field and get out there? Maybe I sound like a crazy person, but technology these days is constantly updating me on what everyone else is doing. Read More »

In a world where kids have cell phones by the time they can recognize numbers on the keypad and know how to cruise the interwebs better than the majority of their elders, cyber bullying has become almost unavoidable. With so many social networking sites and so little control of who is using them and how, the extent to which people can bully each other has grown significantly in medium and reach.
But is the internet simply a big bad wolf? Is the technological generation doomed in terms of how we treat each other because of the anonymity of social networking and internet communication?
Formspring, a social networking site that has gained infamy as a forum for mean jokes and harsh comments between middle and high school students, is growing in popularity for many reasons (good and bad.) But at Lake Zurich High School, an anonymous student has brought a ray of hope into the bad light that has been cast upon Formspring. The student started a page on the site called “LZ Compliments,” where she encourages her classmates to sing each other’s praises, all anonymously. She takes the time to go through and approve each comment, making sure that only nice things are said on her page.

[Welcome to Celebrity Chic on the Cheap, where our style guru takes a celebrity look and breaks it down for you, our poor college fashionista. What does that mean? It means that while the celebrities (like Lake Bell) are spending $5,000 and more on an ensemble, you an spend way less...and save the rest for Margarita Mondays.]
Freida Pinto has been dazzling red carpets since she broke out on the scene a couple of years ago during the promotion of indie hit Slumdog Millionaire. She never ceases to be colorful and youthful, but still sleek, refined and full of elegance. She is set to star in the prequel to Planet of the Apes (alongside deliciously douche-y James Franco), so we will probably be seeing a lot more of her fabulously chic sartorial choices in the upcoming months. I spend an abnormal amount of time online shopping, so I always get exited whenever I hear about a new shopping site — especially if the site features amazing sales! So when I heard about the new website OpenSky, I couldn’t wait to check it out!
OpenSky is a social networking shopping site that allows you to discover great new products, often at great prices. When you join OpenSky, you can choose up to 10 of the site’s celebrity and blogger “curators” to follow, including chef Bobby Flay, actresses Molly Sims and Alicia Silverstone, and fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, to name a few. The curators choose their favorite products to share with their followers, who have the option to purchase the items at up to 60% off! Every week, you’ll get emails from the curators you follow alerting you of their newest must-have product for sale on their OpenSky page, and you can also browse the site to see what other curators are offering, although you’ll have to follow a particular curator in order to see their featured sales.

I stumbled across this list of hot celebrity Johns. It left me wondering, how did we not think of this first? In the large amount of time I spend drooling over dishy men waiting for one of them to come swoop me off my feet you think I might have realized the high level of sex appeal you need to achieve to have the name John. I’m disappointed in myself that I never discovered this lovely bunch.
Even though we didn’t come up with these gallery first, I can’t deny what a fabulous list this is.
Also, is it just me or has John Stamos only managed to get hotter throughout the years? Uncle Jesse was a sexy rocker with great life lessons and all but he has turned into such a stud muffin post Full House.

One of my favorite stores to shop for cute clothes is Kohl’s. One reason I love it so much is because it’s always been there for me. So many times I’ve needed something last minute, like a pair of slacks for a job interview or the perfect pair of shoes for an outfit, and I can find the perfect solution almost instantly at Kohl’s, while other stores didn’t have anything. On top of all that, I love that mostly everything is pretty affordable — especially when there’s a great sale (and there’s almost always some kind of sale going on). Check out these great picks from Kohl’s for under $20!

Want to cheat on your boyfriend? There’s an App for that!
No, seriously. There is.
As infidelity rates increase between committed and married couples, technology has found several new and disturbing ways to keep up. Tech-savvy adulterers have moved from the naughty chatrooms of the 90s to using the iPhone and Blackberry apps of the new generation. With this, cheating has shutdown, rebooted and upgraded itself to become even more easy and available; it has developed into “cheating 2.0”.
AshleyMadison.com, a website that prides itself on being “The worlds leading married dating service for discreet encounters” has been a part of this illicit craze from the beginning. Now with phone apps (complete with no electronic history trail), AshleyMadison.com has more than doubled over the past year, now with over 9, 870,000 members. According to the dating profiles as documented by TIME Magazine, 92% of males and 60% of females joining the AshleyMadison.com community are married or otherwise attached. Most of the site is made up of men, but women users have doubled since its launch in 2001. Biderman, the CEO of the site admits to TIME Magazine that he would be “devastated” if his own wife used the website. He is convinced, however, that “people cheat because their lives aren’t working for them…No website or 30 second ad is going to convince [them].” Read More »
