When it comes to losing weight, some people are desperate enough to try anything. Even though it’s well-known that committing to a healthy lifestyle of eating right and exercising will give you slow, but ultimately successful results, it doesn’t stop people from jumping the gun and buying into ridiculous diet fads — most of which are probably more unhealthy than being overweight anyway. Seriously. Some of these are downright disgusting.
Would you ever try any of these insane diets? What’s the craziest thing you’ve done to squeeze into a dress or knock off a few pounds? Why do you think people are so hesitant to lose weight the healthy way?

I wonder why, when thinking about losing weight, people usually turn towards dieting before exercise. Some of these are just plain crazy and bad for your health. Other diets might just lead to weight gain. I guess we are trying to turn to quick, "easy" ways to drop pounds, but losing more than two pounds a week is just unhealthy and you run the risk of gaining the weight back and more..

The Lemonade Cleanse is a voice remedy, it keeps your voice smooth if you have a lot of singing to do, maybe that is why Beyonce was drinking it??

I don't see what's wrong with the vision diet, because it doesn't harm you. Even though it is silly, why not? It could have a placebo type effect…

No, she has flat out admitted that she did that to drop weight. She's also said she can't believe she ever used that method.

Tape worm has to be the worst, hands down. If I wanted to lose weight that bad, I would just eat raw pork or drink pond water all day. *shudders* No thanks. I will stick with the best diet I have EVER found (through my doctor) and that's the hCG diet. Tiny injection in the morning, no hunger, healthy foods, lots of water and I went from almost 170 down to 135 in less than 2 months.
Have I mentioned that I haven't felt this great since I was 17? Anyhow…some of these were downright insane. Makes my diet seem normal! lol!

I just lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks by just taking smaller portions of everything I normally eat.. thats the easiest diet and you don't feel like you miss food or anything. Its probably the healthiest way. All those crazy diets only lead to bouncing of the pounds, as soon as you finish them you just gain them all again and sometimes even more. The cotton ball and tape worm are just stupid.

And I lost 44 in about ~9 months by exercise. I was even eating more than normal. I used to walk 10 km three or two times a week, and do 20-30 flights of stairs three times a week.
About the tape worm: It's not really stupid. It's being seriously researched, and may help in protecting against a number of diseases.

I do both things (eat smaller portions and working out), and I still fit in the same jeans I wore back in middle school…size 6/7.
