This Blog Will Change Your Life: Week 10

[There comes a time in every girl’s life, (usually after a third or fourth martini), when she realizes “Damn, I need to do something… travel to Europe, take up Chinese, get married…someeeething! I need to change my life.” Finding myself in one such rut and without the cash-flow for a capricious jet-set to France, I decided to live by the book, take the plunge, and tackle the Benrik challenge.]

Week 10 – Task 1

Day 18: Be Gay for A Day!

Let me preface this one by saying that I truly like men. There is something about the take-charge confident attitude characteristic to the male species that really turns me on. On the other hand, I can also totally appreciate and value the beauty and sensuality of women. Even though I do consider myself straight, I totally wouldn’t say no to Mila Kunis and I wasn’t against trying this whole bisexuality-thing out… you know, for a day.

I started out the day by just trying to notice women in a different way. I tried to make eye contact, smile, and be open to any advances. Let me just tell you now, that kind of straight fem-fem relationship only works with alcohol, and lots of it. The day was moving slowly. I then decided to call up one of my girlfriends for a cocktail. Of all of my friends, I’d have to say that she would be the closest to my “type.” She is beautiful, sensual, and we have always had a flirtatious relationship. We went out for drinks and instantly had to turn a few guys away from the table. Not tonight boys.

Nothing happened that night with my girlfriend. I am, after all, a taken woman. However, if the situation was different, well, let’s just say I’d have a lot more to write about.

  1. To be Editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Magazine (with many paid vacations)
  2. A manor in Austria, an apartment in NYC, and a condo in Greece
  3. An adoring husband, three beautiful children, and a bunch of cats
  4. My own theme song
  5. Two horses and a pet llama
  6. Eternal youth
  7. A lunch with Marilyn Monroe
  8. The constant feeling of being either buzzed or tipsy
  9. A gala held in my honor
  10.  An eternal state of happiness and well-being

As if that was sooo much to ask or something…

I’m curious, what would YOUR list look like?

Week 10 – Task 5

Day 365: “New You” Party

A party, in my honor? Check number 9 off the list, cause I’m definitely all for this.

When I invited my friends over for the “New You” party, they were thrilled -probably because they no longer had to help me out on my blog adventures- but I digress.

We spent the night laughing over all of the crazy shit I had to do. Like the time I had to ask a stranger what their first impression of me was, when I had to pull off an “eat and run,” or the time I had to pay for sex. Overall this has been a fabulous adventure and I am truly sorry it had to end. As least Benrik has come out with a sequel – This Book Will Change Your Life Again.
