Okay so pretty much everything we did when we were kids was an attempt to piss our parents off. Hey, isn’t that our duty as their children? Parents need a little excitement in their lives, and until we graduated high school, we were there to provide it. And isn’t so fun now to look and laugh at how absolutely obnoxious we were!

Click through for a few of the things that drove our parents crazy.

I still do tons of things that make my parents mad and I'm 18. Like asking my mom to get the door, or gesturing for her to go first through a door, or asking her to record a show for me while I'm out…yup. It really is the little things that count.

I must have gotten my cell disconnected like four times when I was on my mom's plan. I don't understand why she couldnt just add texting to our plan though?! Oh, and once in a while, she still bugs about the "messy" room, but she's pretty much given up all hope on that one.

Your parents must have been really strict. My dad took me to get my belly button pierced and I never had to sneak out, because my parents and I agreed on a curfew. I watch southpark with my parents.

I definitely made my parents mad with some of these, but the belly button piercing wasn't a problem. It was my mom's idea that I get it done, so I had it pierced for my 15th birthday.

Actually my mom liked belly button rings and gladly offered to pay for mine. She doesn't mind me watching South Park she thinks it's funny. The one thing that did annoy her was when I was a kid up to middle school I'd write on my hands and she thought it looked dirty.

This is so true hahaha! I was ALWAYS in trouble for a messy room. I was grounded for 2 weeks for watching South Park. I would never dream of getting my bellybutton pierced. And the writing on the hand thing drove them crazy, also having writing on my car pissed my dad off

I am a mother of two teens…I have offered to pay for the rings, understand the cell-phone thing, its your room, live like a slob….I don't know…I think when you set such STRICT limitations, kids naturally fight the force…My kids never did anything to make me super-mad…I am so proud of them as they make great choices, do well in school, love their family, and are responsible people…Not to mention they are beautiful, both inside and out…

hahaha, great article! I def used to watch Beavis and Butthead. Such a classic show… and now they're back! I actually had a conversation about these things with someone at a BlendAbout (http://www.blendabout.com) event. Funny how we don't have massive stereos anymore. I actually kinda miss them

yeah, who didn’t want to pierce some part of the body when was teen? Many did :-)
It’s a natural “teenage angst”. Sneaking out… that was the greatest experience for probably whole life.
Messy rooms, that is of course is a rebellion when your mom & dad were nagging “make your room!”
Beavis & Butthead & southpark are great shows they are a part of many of us. Could our life be more interesting without them? i doubt.
      Good article.

i think its funny how those teenage girls that were "dirt bags" growing up are still "dirt bags" now as grown women. its so funny in fact that i can't tell you how many of these DIRT BAGS i've dumped over the years, because of their filth. dirty kitchens! dirty apartments! SMELLY rooms! and don't even ask to use the restroom when you visit – gross!

the joke is on you ladies and on your mothers too who failed to teach you. i know this man wants nothing to do with you and my son won't want anything to do with your daughters either. oh by the way, now that its hard to find work, "how's all them visible piercings and tattoos working out for you?" no, i won't date a trashy broad and there's a lot of men who share my sentiment.

      FAIL!
