10 Actresses Who Should Be Hosting SNL

I have breaking news to report to all of you.

You won’t believe it.

Alec Baldwin hosted SNL (and Steve Martin made a guest appearance, it was funny. Watch it here.). Again. I’m not complaining because I love me some Jack Donaghy, but really guys? Was Steve Martin busy? (Actually, he wasn’t…he helped Baldwin host his 16th episode during his opening monologue). Also, has Bridesmaids not taught the SNL writers anything? Women are a lot funnier, nicer, smarter, skinnier and overall just plain better than men.

Now with that bashing aside: let me show you some potential hosts that would not only get the job done, but have hosted less then three times or haven’t hosted at all. Seriously, that is extremely low by SNL standards.

      Helen Mirren has already hosted…can't believe Meryl, though. And why don't we stop saying "women are so much funnier than men!" and "men are funnier than women" and just compare PEOPLE based on how funny they are? Venting on your post, but yeah. ;)

      i'm all for women encouraging each other to accomplish as much as they can, but i do not believe that most women are funnier than men. there are some funny females, but the majority of comedy is done by men because they are less self concious and uninhibited. they don't care if they look stupid, or are not taken seriously, like a lot of women do.

      i am a female too btw.

      Sarah Silverman is my top choice to host SNL, even though i lost interest in SNL in the early 1980's.

      I think some women are as funny or funnier than men. But my favorite host so far is definitely Justin Timberlake. He should become a regular. I would also love to see Seth Mac Farlane host SNL. That would be funny!!!!!

      Um, did you research this at all? Anna Faris, Emma Stone and Helen Mirren have already hosted SNL. Anna Faris is actually scheduled to host again in the next few weeks. Sarah Silverman was a cast member briefly in the 90s. I'm guessing there's probably bad blood which is why she's not back.

      Sarah Silverman was already a cast member, Emma Stone and Hellen Mirren already hosted, and Anna Faris is hosting this Saturday! Chelsea Handler and Elizabeth Banks should definitely host.

      I would love to see Lauren Graham host. She’s hilarious and got a quick wit about her. It would be fun to watch lol
