This season leather is back, and with that so is greaser-inspired fashion. From Johnny Depp in Cry Baby to Sandy post-make over in Grease (get it Olivia Newton John, get it), the renegade rebel-inspired look is in. For inspiration think the Teddy Boy movement from London, Greasers from The Outsiders, and even the Sharks from Westside Story.

The classic greaser look is comprised of Levi’s 501s, a slightly oversized leather jacket, and Harley Davidson-inspired biker boots. But nowadays this look has been reinvented time and time again. This 50s-inpsired look includes a fusion of structure and slouch, chains, bulk, and general badass.

Look #1: The Jacket

Jacket: Honee,$24.49  Jeans: Forever 21, $10.50 . Top: Forever 21, $8.80. Shoes: Tinley Road, $39.99

By pairing a structured leather jacket with a slouchy-T, you epitomize the je-ne-sais-quoi of the Greaser look. The skinny’s are also a nod to Sandy’s outfit at the end of Grease!

Look #2: A Modern Take

Shorts: H&M, $24.95. Jacket: Forever 21,$59.80. T-Shirt: NastyGal, $25.00 Shoes: Forever 21, $25.00.

Working in leather through shorts is a modern take on a classic, and the fringe jacket adds even more edge to the outfit. The studded heels will keep anyone from messing with you and the American flag Tee is an ironic twist!

Look #3: Accessories

Bracelet: Forever 21 $8.80,  Necklace: Forever 21 $8.80. Bag, Daisy Fuentes (Kohls), $22.00.

These accessories epitomize the edge of the greaser look! sport them with any look and your outfit is instantly made chic.
