After several, uh, constructive suggestions on my last post about North Face alternatives, apparently more warmth is needed for you stylistas. So instead of looking like the Pillsbury dough boy this winter, sport these 10 chic coats and jackets.

Warning: this post is not a cheap and chic compilation. These pieces are on the expensive side but you wanted warmth, and not even your trusty Northface comes cheap.

Numbers 6 and 10 are my favorites- I'm moving to a much colder place next year, and will definitely be needing a warmer coat. I'm only in Alabama and I'm still freezing all the time! Great choices:)

The trend alert coat looks so weird! Other than that, great picks!

all too short!? These are JACKETS, not Coats!! Anyone who lives where it really gets cold can't use these as winter coats. Lame choices.

er stop worrying about your looks and buy a northface. i know NF are now fasionable but they are not there for that purpose they are there because if you buy the correct one there is nothing really warmer for the price. the jackets you have here have no hoods so look super cool till it rains. A word on price. A proper north face parka is built to last it is not a summer coat so unless you climb trees in it it will keep you crazy warm crazy dry for many years or keep buying £100 fasion jackets that last 6 months. failing that look at ahkka waterproof jackets they look pretty serious but slightly cheaper. Btw while it busy snowing and girls are busy trying to be fashionable whilst freezing us guys just laugh at you

I recently got a new coat that looks like the one in the first picture. I really like it and it holds nice warm.

    Tell us what you're thinking...
