Midterms got you down? Feeling like the gym is miles away today? CC has got just the thing for you!
Welcome to our brand new Dorm Room Workout series, a column that will show you fun, simple exercises that you can do without even leaving your dorm. I have a teeny tiny dorm room and even I have space to do all these exercises. But my room is so small that there’s not enough space for a friend to take pictures of me while I demonstrate, so you’ll be seeing a lot of my hallway.
Today, I’ll show you three simple exercises that only require one piece of equipment – your wall. You’ll only need a little bit of wall space, but if your walls are covered with decorations, it might be a good idea to venture out into the hallway. And invite your floormates to join while you’re at it! Read More »

When winter hits and turns us all into grumpy, snow-man looking students, know you have an alternative to the traditional college girl uniform — North Face fleece, Uggs, leggings, ear muffs, fuzzy gloves, and frozen tears. You know what I’m talking about.
While Arctic temperatures might not make you want to look put together 24/7, know these coats will do the trick when it comes to keeping warm and fashionable… Read More »

Browsing through magazines last week, I noticed that fur accessories have popped up in lots of editorials. Not only fur hats and fur-accented scarves, but strangely enough, purses featuring fur details. I admit, at first this seemed kind of odd, but the furry handbags have really grown on me and I’m itching to add one to my collection. ALDO is a great brand, especially for affordable accessories and I was thrilled to see some fur in the their purse section, including the Opdyke.

ALDO came out with a purse last year called the Cyphert. That totally blew up. Everyone and their dog had one. They’re banking on the success of that shape and adding a fur flap, giving you the Opdyke! PS – what’s with the totally bizarre names? Anyways, let’s move on. Read More »

When I went off to college, I thought I was going to be completely independent of my parents and maybe only talk to them once a month. Well, my parents call me every day, send me texts all the time and e-mail me those obnoxious e-mail forwards. All of that stuff is really annoying, but it probably isn’t anywhere as bad as having any of these celebrities as parents.

Getting to know someone else’s body is a learning process. Sometimes there’s a very steep curve, depending on level of intuitiveness, experience and communication. Some people can pick up cues far quicker and better than others and all is well, while sometimes…you’re laying on your back, staring at the ceiling and thinking of your to-do list for the next six months. Five behaviors I’ve had the displeasure of enjoying enduring are…
1. Sloppy kissing
Kissing is a truly crucial component of hooking up. In fact, I’d go so far as to call it a crucial life skill. While we all have different kissing styles, and sometimes they won’t align. Things like too much drool, excessive suction and a complete inability to find a good angle are obnoxious to endure. Read More »

You wake up at 5 a.m. completely parched after a wild night out. Deciding to sprint to the mini fridge for some ice cold water instead of falling back asleep, you stumble through the dark and reach for a bottle of hydration salvation. Aaaaand you just wrapped your fingers around something squishy and smelly that was definitely not a Poland Spring. There’s nothing quite like squeezing a three month old banana to make that hangover come on a little quicker, amirite!?
So what’s the deal with establishing laws of the communal roomie fridge? Is it safe to chuck someone’s stuff when the expiration date has passed? Tune in to this week’s Ask a Roommate and see what Marysa has to say! Read More »
