Lets face it. Most of us hate going to the gym. It’s sometimes fun if you know there’s going to be someone you like there or if you just updated your iPod. But most of the time it’s a struggle just to change into your workout clothes.  Not only do you have to worry about getting bored within five minutes, you also have to worry about the people you’ll run into and deal with at the gym.

Here’s a list of 10 people who make your gym experience that much worse…

I agree with mooost of these. Except I sometimes end up wearing makeup to the gym if it's after class or work and I forgot my makeup remover. And as for the people on the treadmill longer than 30 minutes, I don't mind if they're ACTUALLY running. If it looks like you're hardly putting in any effort and you're not sweating after the 30' mark, then get off. Some of us actually use it for a work out. I usually end up using it longer than 30 mins, but I always make sure that there isn't a line up waiting for me haha.

Good list!.. I definitely agree with these. Go hard or go home; and don't be obnoxious about it.

People who think they own the weight machines and won’t let anyone work in. These are usually the people who also take the longest rests between sets.

Ohh, I hate sweaty people on machines! I especially hate people who alternate between 6 or 7 machines, and don't clean them off in between. I know they're coming back to the machine, but they're going to be away for 30+ minutes! How hard is it to wipe it off?

Tell me, do you actually do anything at the gym besides judge everyone around you? I understand your points about the people who smell, sweat excessively and take too long on the machines but seriously, people who are barely working out or those who are super buff? Perhaps if you focussed more on your own workout and less on everyone else's, you might start feeling a little more adequate.

Get the hell out of the gym. You know what I hate? It's the FEMALES who come into a gym and ruin the concentration of a truly male dedicated activity. Why do you need a treadmill anyways? Ever seen a sidewalk or maybe a running trail? Stop judging others and focus on yourself for the rest of your life and you will be a much happier person. A gym is for working hard, sweating, grunting, et cetera. By the way, if my humongous biceps or that buff girl bother you, build a home gym and don't look at them you dumb girl.

TMs for when there is Thunder or other conditions that make it a bad idea to run outside.

Hmm, well I guess I'm an offender. I wear make up to the gym because I had it on from earlier in the day, and I just feel really unattractive if I take it all off and then go to the gym. I know it shouldn't be all about flirting here, but the boys are gonna look anyway so I might as well give some effort!

And what's wrong with reading? On the stationary bikes it helps pass the time or multi-task.

The FEMALES ruin male's concentrations? You have to be kidding me. This sounds like a middle eastern country, where women are forced to wear veils because if men see so much as a collarbone they will immediately be distracted and force themselves upon her. And it's her fault, of course.

Shut up. Guys don't have to pay attention to the girls if they don't want to. The two sexes have equal rights to use gym equipment.

I had been guilty of the barely clothes rule, but it was only because it was the only clothes I had available; I'm more of a t-shirt/mid thigh shorts kind of person. Also, I'm guilty of having buffy arms and the make up; but the make up is because I was wearing it earlier and I would rather remove the make up when I'm about to shower, and I like my wonderful super arms!

      11. Judgmental bitches who hold everyone to their standards.
      12. Bad writers who work out.

Treadmills are actually a great piece of equipment so dont get all uppity. 1. I work all day and dont feel safe running outside after dark. 2. Treadmills allow you to work out with friends while going at whatever pace you want. Most of the time my workout buddy and I are working out so hard we dont even talk. But just having a friend next to me creates a sense of compitition which drives me to work harder. 3. Treadmills are indoors which means bad weather is never an excuse not to work out. For example, when I want to work out at my job during my lunch break I am not going out in the rain. I use my company's gym.

Keep complaining, girl. You have some valid points with unhygienic people; but working too hard? too buff? too fit for you? people not working hard enough? WHoa e you to judge? WTF?

You are too self-conscious. Go to the gym, ignore the haters, ignore the naysayers… go to the gym, work hard and leave it at that =]

*** There are genuine people that try to correct your form because they care. If I see someone who is about to injure themselves for life, I have a moral responsibility to tell them. What they do after that is their choice.

Worst type of person in the gym who's never mentioned on these lists: The person who is over 5 years old and yet inexplicably thinks it's okay to sneeze, cough, and even pee in a public pool.
