What Was Up With Gaga’s Thanksgiving?

People have been going gaga (har-har) over Lady Gaga’s Thanksgiving special: A Very Gaga Thanksgiving. I love Mother Monster just as much as everyone else, but the whole thing left me kind of confused. I guess Thanksgiving ratings aren’t the highest considering people are spending time with their families, and my dad certainly didn’t want to spend our holiday watching a “pop-tart” (his words) play on a piano table. I think hearing about her family and Thanksgiving memories was cool, and she looked and sounded amazing. I could listen to her all day, but what was the point?

I know Lady Gaga brings in ratings, but I don’t want this to be a new trend. I don’t want to see “Christmas With Biebs” or “A Very Nicki Minaj St. Patrick’s Day.” I think it’s bringing me back to the leave the holidays alone thing. It seems like everyone is focusing on how to make money off of them instead of letting them just be as they are. And with so many specials, it seems like there’s a case of FOMO (fear of missing out) because everyone feels the need to watch. If you don’t, then you’re out of the loop. I’m just not sure I can get behind these specials if they’re going to start happening all the time.

What did you think about A Very Gaga Thanksgiving? Do you want to see more specials like this from other artists?

I think they're ridiculous and at this point I think Gaga is ridiculous. I feel like she's let the fame get to her head. She craves the attention and fame and she will do anything to get it. I don't get a good vibe from her anymore. I'm sick of it.
