I’m sure I don’t have to remind all of you Twi-hards what movie is coming out this weekend. But for all of the rest of us who don’t care about Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner’s abs, guess what? Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part One is coming out this weekend! Yes, they have broken the final book into two movies (kind of like a better series of books about wizards did), and now we get the pleasure of seeing a bunch of crazies lined up outside movie theaters all weekend.
The trailer for the movie makes it look like a dramatic, werewolf-filled episode of Vampire Teen Mom. I live-blogged while I watched the trailer to give you all a better idea of what this AMAZING movie is actually about.

The 2011 Sexiest Man of the Year was announced yesterday and we couldn’t be more disappointed.
We’re not sure yet, but we have reason to believe that most of the votes were generated by people that still live on Jenny’s block. That, and Max and Emme’s playdate friends.
What ever happened to intellectual and emotional sexiness? A man that can make us think but also feel? A man that can make us laugh? A man with integrity? A man who is not afraid to laugh at himself and be laughed at? Where are the votes for that on the Sexiest Man Alive list?
What about Chuy? Personal assistant (and longtime muse) to Chelsea Handler, Chuy has a lot of the qualities synonymous with sexy. [Okay we're not exactly sure of that, either, but we're willing to bet he does...somewhere...deep down.]
Now that everybody is preoccupied with surfing the web to find the sexiest picture of Bradley Cooper, we carpe diem’d our way over to Chelsea’s twitter to check out the real Chuy behind the scenes and highlighted seven adoring reasons why Chuy got jipped this year…with photo proof! Read More »

Dear Beyonce,
I am a huge, HUGE fan of yours. I get giggly and excited every time you come out with a new single or video. I will watch even the most boring and endless award show if it means I can catch a performance of yours. And I gush to anyone who will listen about how great you are.
You’re one of the defining artists of my generation. I grew up with you during the Destiny’s Child days, and loved your badass girl power vibe. And you’ve only gotten better. You are a magnetic performer. I am constantly blown away by your incredible energy and your ability to engage an audience. Not to mention your talent for singing and dancing. You don’t fake it the way many pop stars do.
It’s for these reasons that I am so disappointed that you have developed a habit of copying other artists’ work. The most dramatic example of this problem came recently, when Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker pointed out that you had copied much of the choreography in your “Countdown” video from her earlier works Rosas Danst Rosas and Achterland. And not only choreography – you used costumes and camera angles that are almost identical to those in films of De Keersmaeker’s work. This video puts shots from “Countdown” and footage of De Keersmaeker’s company side by side: Read More »

Winter brings along one serious danger to ladies and their cute shoes everywhere – ice. Even in sensible shoes with good traction, ice can make your short walk to class a slippery disaster. So to help prevent you from falling over and spilling the contents of your bag all over the sidewalk, I’ve put together some simple balance exercises.
These moves are great overall strengtheners for your core and legs, but focus especially on the gluteus medius muscle. The gluteus medius is located on the side of your hip joint, attaching your femur bone to your pelvis. This is the muscle that does most of the work when you’re standing on one leg. You need this muscle much more than you realize, because you stand on one leg for a split second each time you take a step. Read on for some exercises that will have you navigating the ice like a graceful skater this winter. Read More »

I have an extremely surprising and shocking announcement for all of you: I hate UGGs.
Now that I’ve got that off my chest, I’ve decided to counter these hideous slippers (yea guys, they’re slippers not boots) with 10 boots for under $200. Today’s retail price of a pair of UGGs is between $150-$180 (for the traditional UGG Australia brand UGGs), so it’s not like I’m asking you to hand over a ton more cash than you already would have.
Below are ten cankle-free, stylish alternatives to the UGG! Read More »

I’m not sure about your neck of the woods, but up here in Northern Ontario, snow is going to fall any day now. Biting winds and cool temperatures have become the norm and we’ve all hauled out our winter gear. Fur-detail is huge this season, especially when it comes to purses, but I just can’t bring myself to tote around a completely fur purse. I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t look like some dead rodent on a string. However, I did find a cute little wristlet with fur-detail that I could definitely handle!
Presenting the Poppie Jones Lodge Wristlet. I’m a huge fan of wristlets; they are great not only for a night on the town, but also for storing things like change and makeup. I always have a few floating around in my purse. Read More »

It’s almost November and I’m already yearning for summer. Days spent at the beach, cool ocean water, barbeques, cold beers, margaritas and ice cream sundaes to finish it all off.
Ugh, I’m like Cindy Lou-Who singing “Where Are You Summer?” as I’m wrapping myself in blankets and practically throwing myself into the fireplace.
If there’s one thing to miss about summer (aside from awesome tans, hot sand between my toes, svelte beach bodies, grillin’ and chillin’ and sundresses) it’s the awesome art happening on the beach!
No, I’m talking about the little babies that sit there unamused while mom and dad move the sand around or the five-year-old that keeps flinging sand all over my Gucci blanket! I’m talking about the sand-handlers that dazzle and wow beach passersby with their amazing sand castle art.
Take a look! Then we can cry and count down the days to summer again. Read More »

So, I had my period last week, which meant my ladybusiness was closed for normal sexual operations until further notice. I feel completely and utterly unsexy when my uterine lining is shedding and I have stuff a wad of dried, bleached cotton up there to keep it under control. Not only that, but I have this ongoing sense of anxiety, dread and leftover irritability from PMSing. Essentially, I am not in my finest form.
That said, it doesn’t stop me from thinking about period sex in theory. I know that if I threw down a red towel, handed my boyfriend a condom, and said “proceed carefully,” he would totally be game (in fact, when we were first dating and I was completely insatiable, we did it a few times). I know plenty of women who say that they find themselves even more horny on their period than at any other time of the month. And yet, period sex is still something that seems kind of taboo. I’m sure part of it stems from our (as ladies) discomfort and overall icky feeling. But I also feel like a lot of it is because dudes, in general, are completely repulsed. Read More »
