Kobe Bryant’s Wife Files For Divorce, Joins Most Necessary Breakups Of 2011

Finally, a headline we’ve been waiting for since 2003: Vanessa Bryant has filed for divorce from Kobe Bryant! Like countless other celebrity/California divorces, she cited “irreconcilable differences.” Also known as “you cheated on me one too many times, so I stayed with you through all your court trials and championships so that I could get my half of it all in 2011.” Yep, the Laker who plays for $25 million per year (and counting) did not have a freakin’ prenup. Maybe that’s not something you really think about when you get engaged six months after meeting on a music video shoot.

More power to you, Vanessa! Keep your head held high, and put your fist up in the air — you know, the one with that 8-carat purple diamond ring on it that’s worth $4 million alone. Collect your spousal support, take care of Natalia and Gianna and enjoy the fabulously single life, because your divorce is one of the Most Necessary Breakups of 2011 (well, in general, really)…congratulations!

Who else made the list? You know, all those whose headlines kinda made you smile with relief and gave you hope in humanity again. Let me refresh your memory…

Who else thankfully called it quits? And who do you think still needs to? Hey, the year isn’t over yet, there’s still a chance they’ll come to their senses!

I hate to be controversial but the people at UC-Davis were literally blocking the police from leaving campus and were warned several times that they would be pepper sprayed. The police then went on to try to warn each person individually that they would be sprayed and shook the bottles for a couple minutes right in front of them before they sprayed them. I can appreciate what these students were trying to do but they were in the wrong and they shouldn't have tried to keep the police from leaving the campus. The act is considered hostile anywhere and everywhere even if they're screaming that they're being peaceful about it. Thank God we're in America and those kids weren't shot or beat half to death because in so many other countries, that would have been the consequence of their action. =(

All these breakups were necessary, some unfortunate. I felt horrible for Eva Longoria, she seemed really blind sided. And really, how can you do better than Eva?
Same for Arnold Schwarz-awhatever, you have a classy wife who is a Kennedy for christsake and you cheat on her with an unattractive maid? And hide it for years? She was too good for him to begin with, and he majorly screwed up.
As for Ashton Kutcher, I'm surprised he made it as far as he did. When you marry someone who is older and in the settling down mindset, it's hard to stay on the same page when you are young and want to do different things.

How were they blocking the police? As far as I understood it, they were blocking the sidewalk in the quad. While that is the official walkway, it's very possible to walk on the grass. Students at schools across the country do it everyday.

Vanessa Bryant served papers within days of the ten year anniversary. In California, that means she is entitled to half of all earned during the marriage. If she had departed during the "rape" trial, she would have forfeited considerable $$$ and a large diamond ring that Kobe purchased.
      Merry Christmas Kobe.

They were in a circle around the police and telling them they would not allow the police to leave the campus. If you do research on the subject, you'll find an entire video that shows EXACTLY what happened before the pepper spraying began. It's something like 14 or 15 minutes long and it makes you realize what really happened and how much the police really don't want to do stuff like this to students.
