CC Beauty Live: Salon Style Blowout At Home
December 18, 2011 11:00 am Posted in Beauty, Style Caitlin Corsetti g+ page
We all know the best part about getting your hair done is the fact that your blowout lasts several days. Okay that and the free scalp massage. But seriously, you always leave the hair salon feeling like you stepped out of a Tresemme commercial. And then when you finally give in to washing your hair, your new cut doesn’t feel so hot because you can’t do it like your stylist does. So you blow out your hair and attack it with a flat iron, all because you think you can’t get a good blowout at home. This is a myth. You can get a salon blowout at home whenever you want, it just takes some patience and practice.
The folks over at Misikko sent me their HANA air Hair Dryer to test out, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to go over how to get a great blowout at home. With this dryer, it only took me about fifteen minutes to style my hair! Watch below!
On my face: Painted Earth Pore Perfecting Primer, MAC Studiofix powder, Painted Earth Super Silky Butterfly Palette, NYX SuperFat Eye Marker, Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara
On my nails: OPI A Oui Bit Of Red and Only Gold For Me
In my hair: Victoria’s Secret So Sexy De-Tangler, Hana Shine Shield, Amika Oil Treatment

Ever try using the velcro rollers? If you blow your hair out a little first, make sure it's tangle free, and then put it up in the rollers and use your blow dryer again on it, it gives your hair a lot of bounce and volume.

I do use rollers on occasion, but my hair loves to curl so I usually end up with big curls instead of a straight blowout. They are great though! A rollers how-to might be on the way soon

Your hair looks gorgeous! I have the thickest hair ever, so I fear that my arms are going to burn after I'm about halfway through, but I am definitely going to give this a try over break.

Thanks Katie! It is kind of a workout! My hair is pretty thick too, which is why I let it air dry a little bit beforehand. And using some kind of oil like the Amica oil or Moroccan oil helps cut down drying time a lot! Let me know how it goes

Can't wait to try this! I'm alway frustrated by the fact I can never get the salon look at home.

It's surprisingly by Conair! I think I got it at Ulta last year, but here's a link to one I found online http://www.drugstore.com/conair-brush-performers-…

Anytime I try to do a blow out my hair ends up getting all tangled in my round brush, how do I combat that problem?
