It’s getting to that time of the year again. The stress over New Year’s plans, the mad hunt for sparkly dresses and the awkward conversation when you have to ask your aunt for a gift receipt. . In between singing the lyrics to Christmas songs you’ve heard too many times and deciding which sparkly dress is sparklier, it’s quite difficult to squeeze in any workout time. Well, you are just in luck. For the past year and some months, I’ve been bringing you my favorite moves to do in home and on the go.
As you begin to scribble down “go to the gym everyday” on your New Year’s Resolutions list, let me help you with my list of favorite Body Blog workouts of all time – ease into the program and let’s get ready for that summer time bikini body! What? Too early for summer? Okay fine… Read More »
Now that Christmas is over and I’m making lists of things to keep, things to return and things to regift, I realized that Hanukkah is still going strong. I got to wondering what all my favorite holy Hollywood hotties are doing in the midst of their Hanukkah celebrations.
Where are they going? What’s their favorite cookie? What are they doing? Is there a chance in hell that they’re wishing for a 5’4″ brunette, interested in anything they’re interested in, hazel eyes and pearly whites in one of those large gift boxes?
So while I’m busy dreaming that my favorite Hanukkah hunks are hoping to find me all wrapped up for them this year, I know that’s the closest I’ll get to spending the holidays with them. Ugh.
Maybe next year will bring better news, but until then… Happy Hanukkah to just a few of the sexiest Jewish celebrities! Read More »
Now that all the presents have been opened, the cookies have gone stale and all the decorations have been disassembled, it’s time to start that awful period of reflection…similar to when you try to relive your Saturday nights in order to find your cell phone (or your underwear).
So, while we’re looking back at all the wonderful moments (and the not so wonderful ones, i.e. that time you threw up in your new boyfriend’s bed) here are a few articles that made my year just a smidgen better. I know for a fact after reading them you’ll feel ten thousand times better about all of your not-so-great moments of 2011. Read More »
It seems like we woke up one day and suddenly there was this new internet craze called Pinterest. What? Who? How? Huh?
As with all good trends (And the bad ones, too. See: Legwarmers, high-waisted pants, bangs), we felt that CollegeCandy had to be at the forefront of this movement. With a little research and a lot of stalking, we discovered Pinterest was right up our alley. Pictures of cupcakes and hot guys and crazy outfits? Please, just try to keep us away. When we told you last week that we had a Pinterest account, a lot of you responded that you wanted — nay, needed — an invite to the site. Like, for real, your one and only Christmas wish was to gain membership. You wanted to join Pinterest more than you wanted a pony when you were six. Hell, you wanted us to invite you more than you wanted Christi-with-an-i to invite you to her BSB-themed sleepover in fourth grade! Read More »
Even though “hipsters don’t exist” according to hipsters, we think hipsters are pretty funny. Sometimes I wear a v-neck and my glasses, and I feel so un-trendily trendy. Hipsters are known for wearing super skinny jeans, v-necks, and listening to music that you’ve probably never heard of. They drink PBR and are really into indie films, often ones in foreign languages without subtitles. They’re all for sustainability and the environment and have no problem telling you that you’re a conformist. Hipsters are everywhere these days and are ironically really trendy.
Check out this web series on two Australian hipsters:
I’m not talking about Captain America vs. Iron Man. I’m talking about friends who’ve been in a relationship and now have reached their final destination: splitsville. Once the two of them go their separate ways, which one of them gets you in the proverbial divorce?
It’s not always as clear cut as saying, “well, I was her friend first” or “she was the one who cheated on him with the train conductor.” Sometimes break ups are more complicated than that. Every now and then, they’re reasonably amicable. Every once in a while there’s the exceptional parting where you empathize or sympathize with both sides. Whose friendship do you keep? Or…can you stay friends with both of them?
Phew, now that all the fake smiling is over and all the bad presents have been unwrapped, it’s time to bring some joy back into Christmas!
With a few hours to spare before your great Aunt Betty arrives with ugly sweaters for the whole fam, lets ‘ooh’ and ‘aww’ at some of the most purrrfectly wrapped presents this year. While not everyone likes finding their cat six feet in the air tangled up in Christmas tree lights, cute cats decked out for the holiday season are a different matter — bring it on.
Hope everyone is eating seconds and thirds! Read More »
The holidays are a time for lots of different things: sleigh-riding, roasting chestnuts, holiday shopping, ugly sweaters, family, friends and, of course, lots of wine.
When I was growing up, instead of making holiday cookies we made all different kinds of pasta. We would gather round in groups with forks to seal together the raviolis. And while I still love to make homemade pasta around the holidays, the one thing I really look forward to is the desserts. I mean, I always look forward to dessert, but I pay extra special attention on Christmas.
Half of the fun is looking at all the different festive holiday creations and then drooling over the gooey goodness.
So this year, I think that instead of just looking at the cookie eye-candy, I’ll attempt to make some of my own and hopefully they’ll look as good as these 41 different delicious Christmas desserts!
There are A LOT of sex position options available to you when you’re getting it on. Some are complicated, some are easy, some are fun and some are painful.
