How to Cut and Style Bangs for Naturally Curly Hair

January 12, 2012     Posted in Beauty, Style

For years, I wanted bangs. I longed for them. I coveted them. I desired them. But the answer from my hairstylist was always the same: NO. So in 2008, I cut them myself. Years later, I have a love-hate relationship with them. I keep cutting ‘em, growing ‘em in, and cutting them again. But I want to tell you this: curly-head bangs can be HOT.

This week, I’ve gathered photos from across the web to show you how it can be done. Whether you want curly bangs, bangs you have to straighten (which we’re so not used to, since our curls are so naturally gorge!!), or you’re ready to grow them out, here’s the how-to!

Thank you for this! I see too many tragic curly haircuts when they get those weird bang curls down their forehead.

I get the feeling that curly-haired ladies hate seeing comments like these, but: damn, I wish I had curly hair.

People totally don't understand how tough it is to style curly hair! You either end up looking like a frizz queen or, if you add all that gel, look like a teenager from South Dakota with crunchy curls and awkward straight bangs. These tips are great and will hopefully keep all us curly girls from looking like disasters!

I feel the same way. My hair is some weird mix of wavy, curly and straight and I'm always jealous of girls with curly hair who just wake up with that bounce.

Redken curl bounce ringlet #7 IS THE BEST FLIPPEN STUFF FOR CURLY HAIR!!! i use it all the time. It only about $15 at a solon. I have curls that get frizzy ( like all curly head ppl do. u know who u are) and it helps define my curls and keeps the frizz down! I recomend it to everyone :)
