The College Girl Code

We always hear about “Girl Code” — the dos and don’ts of female friendships (or as Mean Girls‘ Gretchen Wieners calls them: The Rules of Feminism). These rules set the standards for how women should act and treat others in a female friendship. And we were wondering…is there a College Girl Code? Being in such close quarters with our friends for four years pretty much creates a makeshift family unit, and there are some definitely must-dos when it comes to being college BFFs.

I’ve compiled a list of 10 rules for the College Girl Code (mainly from past experiences) that no girl should forget when living the good life on campus. Obviously they all can be amended or changed to fit your personal style or type of college experience, but we feel that this list is a good starting off point for what every college girl should do when it comes to female friendship.

      But you made a mistake on number 10. NEVER put a belligerently drunk person to bed. That's the worst thing you can do. They can stop breathing and die. I had a friend pass away because of that. Keep them up and moving around. If you need to, call for help. Sure their parents may be upset, but it's a whole lot better than them losing their child and never seeing your friend again.
