Abe Lincoln Is Hunting Edward Cullen

I will admit that I went through a phase in which I called myself (in my head, of course) “Mrs. Edward Cullen.” I really did try to resist the temptation of reading Twilight but after much convincing on my friends’ part, I gave in. I gave in and fell in love. These days, however, I much prefer to fantasize about marrying that really cute guy in my Econ class rather than a fictional vampire (thank god, right?). While I may be over my obsession with Twilight, that part of my life will always hold a special place in my heart. It is for this reason that I have a hard time imagining that the new upcoming movie, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, would actually be worth my time.
Part of the appeal of Twilight is the romance, which definitely does not appear to have much importance in Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. I will admit that Abe Lincoln seems pretty badass in this movie, much more so than what I learned about him in high school. But, knowing what (little) I know about Abe, it’s kind of weird to imagine him as a vampire hunter. Arguments about the superiority of Twilight aside, I’ll probably see this movie anyway. The graphics look extremely rich and realistic, one quality that definitely gives the movie points.
What do you think? Would you see this movie?

I think I'm definitely over the vampire thing. I'm ready for things to return to pre-Twilight normalcy. Or at least something close to it.

Vampires should be scary and burst into flames when they are in sunlight, not brooding and sparkly. I'm all for the return of the monster and the hunter!

I'm definitely not paying to see this one.

I think I need to see this just because it's so ridiculous. Probably won't shell out the cash to see it in the theater though.

The book was really good…. seriously… I avoided reading it for a long time until a friend (who doesn't read that genre either) told I should read it… I can't wait to see the movie
