CC Guest Playlist: Make-Out Music for People with Record Players

We here at CollegeCandy have some pretty awesome friends who have equally as awesome (and sometimes shocking!) music taste. In honor of these people and the tunes they like to shake their collective booties to, we present to you a CollegeCandy Guest Playlist. Today we’re featuring Piper Weiss, senior features editor at Yahoo! Shine. Get to know her, and then take a listen to the playlist she crafted especially for y-o-u.

Hi, I’m Piper! I write about serious women things but also not serious women things. I think both are important. I’m also the author of the book My Mom, Style Icon, inspired by my mom and moms around the world, pre-millenium. I grew up in Manhattan, went to college in Baltimore, moved to Northern California and ended up in Brooklyn, where I live now. In college I made out with a guy because he played James Taylor’s “Going to Carolina in My Mind.” I’m currently obsessed with the album Nilsson Sings Newman, in which Harry Nilsson covers Randy Newman songs. It’s pretty self-explanatory.
I acted in a scary movie last year called “Without” that won an Independent Spirit Award and showed at the MOMA. If I ever get to act again, I would like one of my co-stars to be a chimp.

This playlist is entitled, “Make-Out Music for People with Record Players”. Enjoy!
