CC Book Club: Mindy Kaling’s “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?”
Thanks to the CC reader who recommended we pick up Mindy Kaling’s hilarious autobiography for our February pick! Mindy is best known for her work as a television writer and actress, specifically playing Kelly on NBC’s The Office, so I knew that this one would be good. We also need your recs for March’s pick, so be sure to leave that along with your comments!

Spring Hairstyle Inspiration [Photos]
My favorite part of spring is the style. The make up and hairstyles that become popular in the spring remind me of my second semester of senior year of high school when I finally had time to work on cute hair styles and perfect my make up for the day. I love the combination of a cute, braided bang with dewy skin and shimmery eye shadow. To me, this look just screams “spring.”

The Weekly Ten: Celeb Body Parts I Covet
I am pretty happy with myself. It took three torturous middle school years and four years of high school full of insecurity to get me to the point where I actually like who I am and how I look (most days). But sometimes I see certain celebs, and I think, “I would kill for her (insert body part here).”

And The Oscar For Best Dressed Goes To…
Ah, the Oscars! The biggest night in Hollywood featuring the best and brightest stars. It’s hard to say what I love most — the anticipation leading up to the big event; the winners’ wobbly-kneed, exuberant speeches; or the over-the-top, gorgeous fashions! But really, who am I kidding? We all know the Academy Awards are about who was the best dressed actress on the red carpet.

Sundays Are For Procrastinating: Before They Got the Roles
What’s really incredible to me is being able to see my favorite actors’ talents shine even without the help of the Hollywood treatment. Rachel McAdams’ screen test for The Notebook has to be one of the best I’ve seen, but there are tons of celebrity audition tapes out there. More than enough to procrastinate for hours…

Need: Nike + FuelBand
Okay, I’m not usually one for seemingly unnecessary workout accessories. I’m perfectly fine with my yoga mat and iPod Nano. I bought into the Power Balance band thing last year, and while it did kind of work it was definitely more of a placebo effect than anything else.

Oscar Predictions 2012
The most anticipated awards show of the year is finally here! The Academy Awards, while not as relaxed as the Golden Globes, are probably my favorite part of February.

Nine Scary Behaviors to Avoid in Relationships
Two weeks ago, I heard another tragic tale of a girl I know punching her boyfriend. A year before that, the same thing happened. Call me crazy, but this type of behavior, in my book, is never okay. And I’m speaking to both sexes here.

Intro to Cooking: Broccoli and Feta Salad
Broccoli is a tough vegetable to love — it’s the veggie equivalent of Kim Kardashian really — but it has potential. It’s what’s known as a cruciferous vegetable — it’s related to spinach, kale, and other dark leafy greens that are packed with fiber and antioxidants. They’re actually the healthiest foods you can eat, period.

The All-Time Best Oscar Fashions [Photos]
The Oscars are coming up this weekend, and I’m pretty excited about it. I love award shows, but it’s not the award-giving part that I tune in for. It’s the fashion! Putting together this gallery turned out to be a challenge, because there are so many incredible dresses to choose from. There are always some major WTF moments at the Oscars, but there are also several ladies who always look incredible.

One Month Challenge: Eating Clean, Week 4
Wow, time flies! Can’t believe my challenge is over – or at least my blogging commitment! I have to say that while I am a bit sad, I am also relieved. It isn’t always easy to be mindful of what you are eating, especially when so many factors are conspiring against you.
