The Dark Shadows Trailer is Today’s Friday Video

Is it a cop out that, instead of finding something cute/funny for this week’s Friday video, we’re going to share with you the trailer for Dark Shadows? Maybe, but I don’t care. When someone gives me Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Moretz together in a movie directed by Tim Burton…I’m gonna wanna talk about it. For those of you who don’t know, Dark Shadows was originally a soap opera from the 60s. It centered around Barnabas Collins, a man from the 1700s who is turned into a vampire, locked in a tomb, only to be finally released in the 1970s. (Please note, that is an extremely condensed plot summary. But you get the idea.) From what I can tell, the movie is going to remain pretty faithful to the original storyline.

Don’t make the mistake of writing this off as just another vampire flick. This is no Edward Cullen biz…just take a look!

    WTF ! ! ! As a fan of the original series, looks like the dolts in HolyWeird! has effed up another great classic.
    The original was a gothic scary drama with daily cliffhangers.
    This movie version garbage is idiocy gone to seed and a HUGE disappointment. This movie will be a flop. You read it here first.
